Selfmade Equipment By 13 Year Old

I just have to post this.

On a norwegian forum a 13 year old kid posted a picture along with the following subject:
“What can a 13 year old kid that is 190cm tall and has a bodyweight of 70kg benchpress?”

That is a thing of beauty!

So…

How much can you “branch”?

If there is a will, there is a way. The kid is a genius and has the heart of a true champion.

TNT

That’s awesome! Necessity is the mother of ingenuity…

it works the grip too. its a thick “bar” …

it looks like a rolling-pin tho.

Some more equipment from the same 13 year old.

Another

And the last so far

You can do the same with metal pipe and hose clamps. Costs a bit of money but will actually be able to hold some weight. Not bad for a kid though.

he’s only 13 and he’s 190cm!? fuckin freak of nature!

Looks like lifting twigs is working out well for him.

If he could buy the plates, why can’t he by the bar?

I don’t see what the big fuss is.

To be honest i gotta agree with KiloSprinter…i think its a load of bullshit…count the weights on the bar he supposedly lifts, i doubt he does it looking at his photo…

i dont know, i gotta call bullshit on this one, but good try i guess…from the looks of him, sit ups, pull ups, and pushups in his Norwegian house may make him bigger than all that fuss he had to go through making that…but cool?

Why didn’t he just get a work? The hours spent on that thing, he could have spent on working and he could then have afforded some cheap, used weights.

Do you know anyone who’d employ a 13 year old?

When my bro was 13-14 he went around mowing lawns etc and would pull in 50-100 dollars a day on good days.

This may work in nice neighbourhoods but in lower middle class or poorer neighbourhoods and rural areas most people probably wouldn’t hire a kid to mow the lawn. The best job I or my friends could get as kids was picking rocks in the summer and potatoes in the fall…fun stuff…(rural area).

Amen when I was that age peole would offer me a 7up after mowing their lawns, no money involved. I think everyone on this forum need to pick rocks for an eight hour day, then they’d know what a real day of work feels like.
