In 2007 I was 150 pounds and couldnt see my abs when i flexed. Today I am 208 with abs.
What is there to laugh about? What is it about my progress that you find so hilarious? You dont like seeing people meeting their goals to get bigger?
your advice is hilarious, one guy needed OVERALL mass and you said he needed to work on his forearms…?
For another guy celtics said, ‘you need more arms.’ WTF does that mean?

Wake up dude! Forearms are hard to Grow!!! I wish I had started training mine 6 months ago!!!
There are 5 muscles in the forearms that I train
flexors
extensors
grippers (think captains of crush)
pronator
supinator
I am going for Lee Priest sized forearms. You have to train directly to get them big. I reccomend others to train them directly. So does Christian Thibaudeau
They don’t perform any direct forearm work, but get their forearm stimulation from the curls and pulling movements they’re doing.
They do include some form of direct forearm work, but generally train them as an afterthought, with a few sets of wrist curls and reverse curls here and there.
I admit that for some people these methods might be enough to squeeze some growth out of their forearms. For most, however, it’ll lead to suboptimal gains and a functional imbalance: you’re much stronger in some actions (such as wrist flexion and elbow supination) than in others.

edit: You’re talking about RMP? About me telling people to work forearms? Just so you know I am going for Lee Priest sized forearms which is why I do semi-obscure exerciss like Thor’s Hammer now and i reccomend others work forearms as well.
bullshit story bro!

Why is that so many big guys on this forum are so secretive with their progress pictures or of footage of themselves in general? Is it that difficult in 2010 to buy a $15 webcam and take a 2 minute video of yourself running through poses and then upload it to youtube?
Is it seriously too much to ask for people to take shirtless shots of a front and rear double bi, a lat spread and quads/calves and then take another pic in the same poses 2 months later and keep doing that?
It is 2010 people - why is this SO RARE on these forums? Is it too much to demand that progress pics be both SHIRTLESS and in GOOD LIGHTING???
That being said - I will say that TheMightyStu downright DELIVERS. I have followed his example and taken and posted regular progress pics and a posing video in Performance Photos so now I’m calling people out here. I do this in order to improve the quality of the forum and also to try to understand why people are so secretive when we all want to see progress and when digital cameras, webcams and youtube are AVAILABLE and cheap.
Calling out:
Professor X (why is the lighting so poor, want to see a posing video)
Cephalic Carnage (Cant find any pics or video of you anywhere, this shouldnt be the case)
Akuma (pics without a baggy shirt please…video of 600 lb for reps smith bench)
Austinbicep
lewhitehurst
Giving props to:
Stu
Waylander
King Beef
People that will inevitably refuse to take progress pics like I ask, why is that? Are you shy? Do you think taking a posing video makes you gay? What is the reasoning? I would genuinely like to know.
I don’t know why everyone’s hating on the OP. I completely agree. I would even go a step further. Not only should they be shirtless and performing obligatory poses, they should really demonstrate their progress by slowly spreading posing oil on their engorged muscles. In fact, I’m calling bullshit until Professor X and Cephalic Carnage make a video together involving oil wrestling in thongs. Come on people! It’s 2010! Webcams are only 15 bucks!

No, no, no… These are the arms he needs!
The interwebs just got a little gayer.

OP I don’t think your thoughts are totally unwarranted. Of course we would all like to see the bigger guys on this board moving slag iron while sporting the size that we’re after, but when it comes down to it this is a public forum where everyone has access to the information displayed, not just those with good intentions. So when it comes down to it everything that an individual posts is purely out of the goodness of their heart since it doesn’t serve anything but this little ‘community’ of like minded individuals, and if they feel like the costs of putting yourself out on the internet outweigh the benifits (to which there are few) then there’s nothing drawing them to humour your requests. Of course this site seems to be a bit more shady in that aspect than others but that’s simply the way it has become over time. If you really want to do something positive for this forum I suggest you lead by example and continue posting progress pictures, and possibly some training videos, I know I’d like to see more people do that.
Thanks
I’d like to see half those guys post less, not more.
But I’m sure they return the favor, so it all evens out at the end of the day.
This place has really high standards. I’ve seen plenty of people with very decent builds in the “Rate My Physique” forum get torn to shreds. I think it could be intimidating to many around here.

Pictures and Videos of themselves is what we’re talking here, not words.
I think we’d all like to see more accountability from the members here, it’s hard to learn from words on a screen.
