Getting on dip bars and doing a reverse shrug be scapular retraction and depression? or only one of them?
Would doing this be an effective way to train the movement?

a shrug involves scapular elevation. so a reverse shrug would involve scapular depression.
retraction is squeezing your shoulder blades back together. like a face pull.
if you want a combo depression/retraction…
how about depressing them then doing a facepull.
i think that would be easier than retracting them before doing an anti-shrug. but maybe not.
why you wanna do this for dare i ask?
