SBWC Fall Classic Training Log

Yo guinea! I’m about 2-3 weeks out from the meet. Couple weeks ago I maxed out on bench like an idiot and strained my shoulder. I feel like Ive beaten myself into the ground these past 2 months, especially on deads. Squat is the only thing moving up nicely right now. After this meet I think I need like 2 weeks of literally no lifting, but I doubt that’s gonna happen.

Sounds like it’s time to peak to new heights

2 weeks out. Felt awesome today. Resisted the temptation to go heavier because the weights were flying off the floor. Still not even close to 100% but it’s getting there.

I know its a bit of a stretch here but I think at 100% I’ve got close to 600 in me. Hopefully I’ll be dialed in for the meet.

The programming ive been dealt with the AI stuff is submax work. I was skeptical of hitting low percentages for extended periods of time but I can say it works well in increasing your max. Almost surprising. And i never feel super tired or fatigued.

Yea the first thing I need to do after this meet is get on an actual program lol. AI sounds interesting but I’m thinking of running 531 for a bit. That should also give me plenty of submax work. I’ll need to take a closer look into the AI routine later

The AI stuff has worked pretty well for me, its kind of like a Sheiko style. Im running Blevins Ai. I heard that the juggernaut stuff has way too much volume and can lead to injury. I know they are releasing a Sheiko gold app with that style programming.

@idontbrag123 @kckfl349 I think you’ve both glanced at my log, so I’ll chime in on the submax work.

Right now I’m SBD’ing 4 times a week one day “competition” stance and grip, this is the heaviest day. The others are variations to build on the weak points of the lifts.

I thought I’d be buried by it but right now I’ve finished week 5 and have had two weeks prior to get used to it.

So go ahead don’t worry about to much volume or times a week, if the program is made by someone who knows what they do it’ll work.
