Back still sore from Thursday’s session. Last pulling session before a deload and I can safely say this is the strongest I’ve ever been on deads. Bench and front squat on the other hand have taken a huge hit. Going to need to up the frequency on those, and get back to doing incline as well.

Deadlift
5x135
3x225
3x315
2x405
4x2x435
7x315 TNG

Bench
5xbar
5x95
5x135
5x185
5x215
3x245
3x225
2x5x185

435x2

looking fast and strong man. Good stuff.
How close would you think you are to that 550 DL

Hmmm if I think if I was deloaded and barefoot I’d have a chance at a very grindy 550. Something that would almost certainly get me injured XD. Very difficult to say but I’m hoping in 10 weeks I have it for sure. May is definitely too early. I also need to hit that 315 front squat goal still not too mention the 315 bench that still seems like some distance away. Lots to do!

Not much to log this week. Gyms closed until Monday so I’ve just been hammering the abs with planks and leg raises everyday. Itching to get back but then again a deload never hurt me.

I’m thinking I did my last session of the week today too. We will be away for the weekend and will just hit it again on Monday.

Absolutely. I checked your log and from the looks of things you’re really making progress with the back issue. Great to see man.

Used up a free trial at a local gym. Wasn’t too bad except for all the hex plates. Light workout today still treating this as a deload week.

Is it normal to feel really sluggish after a week of doing nothing? I slept a solid 10 hours today and there’s just this tiredness that I can’t explain. When I was lifting heavy I felt really dialed in every day.

Bench
5xbar
5x95
5x135
5x185
5x225
2x5x185 long pause
8x135 CG

Pullups
Light deadlifts

Yes. Time off is worse than deloads or light weeks for ur sharpness

I feel the same way. That’s why I really disliked taking even a day off lifting for the longest time- I felt horrible when I came back.

Thanks for the replies guys. It’s a relief to hear that others experience the same thing. Pulling heavy again on Wednesday so hopefully that dials me back in.

Back with a vengeance from this depressing deload! Tbh the deload certainly worked because I could have been here all day doing triples. Decided to cut it short because I thought I was eventually going to piss off my fellow gym-goers.

Deadlift
5x135
3x225
3x315
3x365
10x3x415 (rep pr, really comfortable)
5x335 slow TNG
5x315 slow TNG

I’ve learned that tngs with a slow eccentric are incredibly difficult and tend to give me an insane lower back pump.
