Funny story though. The gym was pretty empty when I got there so I went to grab a free bar off of a squat rack. I’ve got the plates on and everything and this guy walks up to me and aggressively asks “why did you grab that bar?” Then proceeded to go on a rant about how I should I grabbed another bar that happened to be closer (I hadn’t noticed that one). I didn’t know how to react. We literally just stood there looking at each other, then I eventually broke into laughter as he went to grab another bar. I don’t know if he was punking me but nothing indicated he was.

if someone went and grabbed the deadlift bar to squat with fair enough lol but I think you have generic bars on your gym

Yep all the same generic stiff bar. I’d totally understand being pissed if someone was squatting with a deadlift bar on purpose.

He will live. If it didn’t have weight on it in an empty rack… who cares. What is he upset he has to lift 45lbs and do a farmers walk and curl?

Yea the front squat is progressing really well. Incline pretty should be pretty close to 235, but definitely not there yet. I realized it’s going to take some serious effort to hit a 315 pause bench. I’m at 225x5 now and that was a serious grind. Deadlift is a total wildcard since I haven’t maxed in over 8 months.

At first I was actually avoiding the clavicles, but I realized I was putting the bar too far forward which was making me pitch. Now that I’ve corrected my form a bit, the clavicles are sore but nothing crazy. The bar feels much more stable as well and my wrists don’t take all the load.

Solid session today. Tightened the belt one notch and it made a huge difference. I might consider trying one more notch.
