Don’t worry bro, I still got love for ya, even if Court doesn’t.

Why would you waste love on someone that doesn’t love you back enough to update his log when you can love someone spectacular like me?
Sayj… you’re at the gym now. I want to know what you did when you get back so update your log. Then get back in my kitchen and make me some food bee-otch! ![]()
So in an attempt to mask my double post, I’m going to be kind for a moment.
How are the knees? Bulletproof Knees treating you well?

HMMMM, love you OR Sayjin? That’s tough. I love you both!
And Sayjin, make some food for me too, I’m fasting and I’m STARVING.
How is school and work going? Still working the construction job, or are you back at the library? Good luck with classes this semester. How much longer until you graduate?

WOOOOOOOW! I dont update my log for a few days and I come back to find it engulfed in a storm of hate. Court, I just want you to know that you’ve just done the internet equivalent of taking a dump on my white carpet while I’m away on vacation, and you will pay dearly for it.
Thanks for stopping by and killing the hate with some T-Love, T-Money! School just started up again for me about 3 weeks ago, and while I originally had the perfect schedule of just 2 classes, I’m now taking 5 because I need to remain full time (12 credits) to stay covered under my mom’s health insurance. Alas, I am taking a bunch of classes that I dont need, but I’d rather be covered so you’ll hear no crying from me.
I’m back in the library for now, but I’m on the job hunt for something more permanent. I’m going to visit some family in Boston next summer, so I’m reeeeeeeeally trying to step my knowledge up a few notches, get some more experience, rehab myself and try to land an intership at Cressey’s place while I’m out there. April 2009 is the month I graduate - hoorah!
I know this might not help make things any easier for you, but I just had some steak, oatmeal and a cup of blueberries - what do you have, 2 more weeks or so until the end of Ramadan?
A) Chinups - 88 reps (Pyramid style)
B) Single Leg RDL - 2x5 (80lbs)
C) Pullups - 2x30sec static holds/negatives
A) Pullups - 56 reps (Pyramid style)
B) Dumbbell Front Squat - 3x5 (80lbs)
C) Chinups - 2x30sec static holds/negatives
So, to answer your question Court, my knee is getting somewhat better. I was able to front squat today with no pain, and I’m able to do bodyweight lunges and squats as well. The only thing I cant do is go into deep flexion, all out sprints, and explosive movements.
I had my first ART appointment last Friday, and let me say that shit was paiiiiiiiiiiiiiinful! The only thing that kept me from punking out was that my face was down in the pad. She said my mobility was fine, but that I had some inflammation in my leg, so she gave me some Bromaline (sp) and told me to pop the whole bottle before I see her again this Friday.
Cool bro, good luck with school. Graduation is right around the corner for you.
Landing a gig at Cressey’s place would be SWEET!!! Plus free rehab for your knee
I hope you get it. Have you been in contact with him through T-Nation or his website?
HAHA yeah no big deal on the steak, oatmeal, and blueberries. I’ve fasted long enough to not be tempted. Heck, I even watch the Food Network on purpose to test my mental strength lol.
Yeah, two weeks from when you wrote your response, so the last day will be September 30, and Eid (day of celebration) will be October 1. Eid is basically the Muslim equivalent of Christmas (since we don’t celebrate Christmas) and you basically hang out with family and eat all day. Good times.
Good luck with school and training.

Just for you

You really know how to fill a man with rage don’t you? Waffles vs Pancakes = Gary Coleman vs The Hulk!
I’ll be resuming my log in earnest starting tomorrow.
A) Chin ups - 100 reps (pyramid style)
B) Box Squat (High) 2x8@225lbs
I woke up about a half hour earlier than normal and did some foam rolling and mobility work work for my ankles and hips. Everything was fine and dandy until I started rolling my IT band and calves, which hurt like a summbitch!
As you can see from above, I hit the magic 100 number with my chin ups, so now I’m going to up the weight by 20-30lbs at start the pyramid cycle all over again. I may actually start progressing towards a solid 1 arm chinup, since I found that I’m able to hold 1 arm static hold for a few seconds.
I picked up some Chuck Taylors yesterday and today I tested them out. While I’m not sure if they’ve had an effect on my knee pain, all I know is that I was able to box squat relatively pain free, with the only caveat being that I needed to squat high, which I can live with. I’m going to mix that in with single leg squat progressions to hopefully strengthen my knee and get it back to where it until April.

WHATCHU TALKIN BOUT WILLIS?
And yes, you are correct, The Hulk represents waffles, and Gary Coleman represents pancakes. You just had it backwards. I forgive you.
I can admit when I’ve been bested…so I now admit to it.
You’ve won this battle my friend, but the war has just begun!
Oh man - today was a fun day at the gym. I went in to do some ab work and bike sprints, but my headphones died and I wasn’t about to do any interval work without the smooth sounds of Canibus, so I just settled on a few circuits of ab wheel rollouts, V-Ups and Dorsiflexion work.
On to the fun part though. Apparently Monday is Chest day all across America, but the people at my gym didnt get the memo because all the benches were taking, and people were benching EVERYWHERE - squat rack, smith machine, floor. One kid who had to be a buck twenty-five soaking wet had 185 loaded on the bar, with the only problem being that the bar was damn near vertical because it was tipping over so hard.
Then there was the guy who was squatting on his tippie toes like Michael Jackson. And the guy doing pullups with more kick than Bruce Lee. And the guy getting a spot in order to do MACHINE CALF RAISES! I still dont believe what I saw, but I did, yet I wish I hadn’t.
I think days like that is what makes the world go round. Without that, there would be nothing to talk about and share.
As long as you don’t become one of them it’s all good.
By the way, nice job the other day on 56 pullups, that’s some good work there, son.
Rage on young brethren.
A) Pullups - 74 (Bodyweight)
B) Box Squats - 2x10 (135lbs)
C) Band Pushups - 2x5
Another PR for me today in the pullups. However, all this volume on the bar is starting to take its toll on my shoulders, so I’m going to revert to 2 days of bar training: one day for weighted chins, and one day for pull up volume, and then rotate them each week.
Squats felt great again today, and I had no knee pain whatsoever.
There were these two women on the mat next to the pull up station doing every ab exercise known to man. Why is this interesting?
Because one of them was wearing the smallest, baggiest shorts ever, which meant that each time she did some rediculous move, there was a flash of visual brilliance. I tried not to look, but it was all up in my peripheral vision.
Life is beautiful sometimes.
I remember you asking about my plans to intern at Cressey’s place Tmoney and I dont think I ever got back to you on that.
I know its a long shot, given my limited experience compared to what Im sure many other applicants might have, but I’m going to really try to learn all I can in the time I have left in order to put my best foot forward when I apply.
Sometimes you just gotta look.
Good luck with interning at Cressey’s place. Don’t worry about what other applicants might or might not have, just be concerned about what you have and what you can bring to the table.
Sell yourself, market yourself, never underestimate yourself, you can do it, it’s yours for the taking. Then when you get the internship, the other applicants will wonder ‘what does he have that I don’t’
It’s all you baby!!!

Hey hey hey! I think if it weren’t for all the colorful people posting in your log, yours would be on page 17. Tmoney and I have been holding this log down since its creation - respect our gangster!
AND, now that my knee is getting better, I can front squat more than you with a rabbid pit-bull attacking my balls.
Still <3 you though.
HAHA holding it down since day one, minorities in da house!!!
Dude, just thought of it: score an internship at Cressey’s place, and see if he can hook you up with Magnificent Mobility or some of his good materials.
