My hamstrings are still fried today, along with my core from the saxon side bends yesterday, so I’m going to hold off on training until Monday.

I’m a “grown” man (5’9", 150, on here trying to learn what it will take me to look like a man) that is back in school. Finals week is quickly approaching. I saw that you are from Michigan, I spent a little time at UM and know that they get out really early, is that where you are?

I’m actually over at Eastern Michigan which is about 10 minutes away from U of M. I’d be done with finals if my accounting exam were actually on the day that we usually have class, but alas they pushed it back 2 days.

As far as the saxon side bends go, yeah they are a horrible, horrible exercise! I only used 2 10lb dumbbells but with strict my obliques were killing me. After a good nights rest last night, I decided to go ahead in train today, espeically since today is an upper body day.

Great workout today! I enjoyed my time in the gym, and despite my arms receiving one hell of a beating today (which became apparent during the military press as well as the tricep pushdowns), I can’t wait to train lower body tomorrow! My knee is fine now, but I’m not going to push it, so I’m replacing squats with deadlifts tomorrow.

I had finals today and I had to run my girlfriend around and take her to the airport, so by the time I got back to train my gym was ready to close. Now that the end of the semester is approaching, they changed their hours and they close a lot earlier than they used to, so I had to cut my workout short. I still feel like I got a good quality workout in, and despite resting only about a min rest in between bench sets, I achieved a new PR!

I won’t bore you all with my guts and glory stories, but finals are now over and one with as of today, and things are once again back on track. During the week I was getting about 3-4 hours of sleep a night, eating times were way off, and I wasn’t exercising. I got a good workout in on Wednesday, but I haven’t worked out since and I feel like shit. I’m giving myself the weekend to rest up and catch up on some sleep, then I shall return to the iron with a renewed fury on Monday!

Also, the pics that I promised before will be uploaded in a moment. My friend didn’t come through with the cord, but I eventually found mine after tearing up my apartment.

Not much to report today. I got about 12 hours of sleep last night, so I didn’t wake up until around 2 and then I did my shopping. Got about 5lbs of chicken breast, broccoli and some other things. I went to pick up some fish oil from The Vitamin Shoppe and found a great deal on Carlson’s fish oil - $23 for the 100 serving bottle!

I get off work at midnight tonight. Can’t wait to wake up and hit the gym again.

Shiiiiiiiiiiiit…one of the toughest workouts I’ve ever had! When it comes to short rest periods, I’m a complete vagina face. The first 3 circuits weren’t so bad, but once I hit 4 it was crunch time, and by circuit 6 I really had to fight with myself to not give, but I dug down deep, found my resolve, and got it done.

Tomorrow is a HIIT session. I haven’t done these in awhile, so I am NOT looking forward to them at all.

Tuesday

Meal 1 (8:30am) - 1 scoop Metabolic Drive, 3tsp fish oil

Snack 1 (12:30pm) - Handful of nuts

Meal 2 (5:00pm) - 1/2 Banana & 1 scoop Biotest Grow! Whey

50sec jog, 10sec all out sprint

I need to work on pacing myself more for these kind of workouts. Whenever that 50sec was up I took the hell off, which was cool until the 3rd set and my speed slowed down drastically and I could hardly catch my breath. My back began to hurt as well, and when I realized that my speed was really beginning to suffer on the 5th set, I decided to pump one more out and call it.

I love almonds, I can stomach broccoli, but the rest of that sounds pretty terrible. I made it through a couple of bottles of fish oil capsules but then I started burping the damn things up, one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever experienced. I don’t know that I could down a couple of teaspoons of fish oil, I’m about ready to heave thinking about it.

And I believe the PC term is open-faced roast beef sandwich face, kind of has a ring to it.

Hey Matt,

Broccoli, Cauliflower and Green Beens are pretty much all that I like…for some reason I can’t do spinach, no matter how much Popeye and everyone else co-signs on it. When I first started taking fish oil I had the burps too, but after a few months I stopped getting them. I used to drop so much money on cash, but now I’ve invested my money in Carlson’s fish oil. High quality stuff, and it tastes good.

But as always, Biotest’s Metabolic Drive comes to the rescue. I don’t know what I’d have to add to it to make it taste bad, but so far its nullified the taste of Greens+ and 3tsp of fish oil at the same time. Maybe if I drop a turd in it would actually taste bad, but I’m not willing to experiment just yet.

At first I thought you meant there was a Physique Clinic term for the kind of face I have, but thats only because I just woke up - thanks for helpful info, lol.

Sorry for not stopping in as much. Same with you, been getting 4 hours of sleep per night, working 2 jobs, finishing up classes, and trying to find a job, among other things. I haven’t weight trained since Sunday, and I jogged 1.5 miles yesterday, and that’s it. Been pretty good on the diet, but the lack of exercise makes me feel like a bum!

I’ll get back on track soon, and the summer is my time to really super get it together. I’m thinking twice daily sessions, because all I have is my internship to complete, and no classes.

How are things going otherwise?
