Sandbags in Toronto?

Hey all:

Any Toronto T-Nation members know where I can get sandbags (the bags themselves) locally, online or through retail for lifting? I tried Home Depot but they do not carry them…

I tried looking online but I was hoping to get the ones that zipper shut as opposed to being tied down.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you thought about a punching bag?

I was thinking about trying to find a canvas punching bag that I could fill with 70-100 lbs of sand.

Anyone?

Do a search for Josh Henkin. He produces sandbags that zipper shut, although I don’t know how expensive it is to ship them from the US to Canada.

hope it helps
take care

Have you thought to contact a film equipment company?

I am confused by your question. I have bought a couple hundred dollars worth of sand from Home Depot but it was just in thin plastic bags. I then redistributed the sand into a ton of smaller yet very thick zip lock bags I got from I think Food Lion.

I then put them in an a canvas bag I got on the internet. Are you looking for the actual sand or the outer shell.

Farm supply store.

Thanks all for your suggestions - I will be looking into all the options presented & many thanks for the info - The sandbags that zipper shut is what would be ideal to prevent leakage.

Contact lenses + grains of loose sand = not good

EG - I am looking for the actual shell - did not know you need liners as well (?)
