A quick forum search shows Mike the Libertarian is no Gearhead. He contributes positively to the forum, even if you would prefer he stay away from the off-topic section. Even Jason R Baran always had contributions to andro posts and noone should be dissed like that if they contribute to the training section.

I think the point be made with regards to Mike is; Why would someone want to live in a country where they would want burn their own flag? Makes no sense. Fortunely he lives in a country where he is free to say as much. He is also free to leave. Why bitch and complain instead of doing something about it? I know we all need to rant sometimes and we can all be assholes(even me). If Mike or anyone else is to say such things do you not expect him to be taken to task for it?

Right on. I agree… anyone who puts their people and beliefs ahead of their own life and lives is an honerable man. Anyone who does this and dies is in his grace, great. These great people may have not respected even their own leaders decisions but they died for our lives anyway. Respect is a key word these days… I believe and hope it is growing again…

Um, actually, ‘birds’ has had a long history of usage in the United States…read some literature or watch some movies from the 1930’s and you’ll readily see it, or in coloquial literature from as early as World War I. It’s so archaic I’m surprised that it’s making a comeback…especially considering so many people probably think it’s so ‘original.’ As for pre-20th century origins of the term, well that’s up for debate. I’d like to hear any British references from before World War I.
