I agree with everything except the homo thing. By themselves they cannot exist beyond their own generation, therefor they are not normal. Homos also carry more diseases than normal people. Put all fudgepackers in a pile and burn them.

Maybe they’re more advanced than we are. It’s a much better way to control the population. They could choose when to have children, or at least the lesbians would. I’ve also heard that the highest-risk group to receive HIV from are young females, but I’m sure that changes depending on who you listen to. And why shouldn’t they have more diseases? If you could walk into a club, know you’re going to get laid, and not have to worry about knocking the other person up, how often would you go unprotected? They aren’t depraved, they just live in our fantasy world. As a guy, think about it - if all women behaved about sex as we did…so many more teenage pregnancies. (I’m not saying that one gender treats sex “better” than the other, just that they go about it differently). And where should the line be drawn on aberrant sexual behavior reguarding who can be made fun of and who can’t? (I suggest consenting, unrelated adults, but I might even renege on that criteria in circumstances. ) Yeah, they do things differntly from me, but why should I look down on them? I just don’t understand the hatred towards homosexuals. I understand some humor about other people’s sexual endeavors, just as long one is willing to see the humor in their own life as well.

#10 - I think you failed to noticed a fundamental difference between homosexuals and the other groups you compared. All the other groups are so by heredity, not by choice.

Clintpatty - did you choose to be straight? I still don’t get how homosexuals just decide to be straight. If a hot girl walks in the room, I get aroused. I don’t just turn to “little me” and say “hey, you need to be normal. get hard when women are around.” It just happens. Now, it may not be hereditary (as you pointed out), as I think environmental factors at least bring out certain character traits, but I don’t really see where most of them have a choice in the matter. Whether or not it is hereditary I don’t think is what lumps the traits together; it’s more about the person not having a say in how they are (as far as race, gender, age, orientation).

Before you tell me, One is considered Illegal and the other is not. What is legal is determined by society, however what is and is not moral remains constant. Enough though in Roman times Pedofile acts were Legal, I still believe those acts were as morally wrong then as they are now.

Pedophilia is completely different. Whatever age a society chooses as the age at which a person becomes an adult should be respected. A child does not have the skills (typically) to defend itself against an adult, or more rather, has not had time to develop those skills. (A drunken frat boy doesn’t have the skills to fend off some farm animals, but it’s still his fault if he wakes up in a pasture.) Homosexuality, when performed between two consenting adults, does not have that problem. Also, performing sex acts on children royally screws most of the victims up, much moreso than just convincing a girl to sleep with you then ditching her. Unfortunately for the relativists out there, we do have to draw the line somewhere as a society (as we do with murder, rape, and some other no-no’s), and victims that have not had the chance to develop a worldview advanced enough to make proper decisions should have some protection.

I disaggree with the flag buring part, I stopped wanting to burn the flag once Clinton left office. Not totally happy now, but my “leave everybody the fuck alone platform” falls on deaf ears most of the time, so I am sure I never will be. I’ll run for Sherriff again this election, I got two votes last election, I think I could squeeze out 3 this time so at that rate I could be sherriff in a million or so years.

Just to let you know, much research has been done on using cell phones when driving. The hands-free units were found to be just as distracting and the hand-held ones.
So let me make sure I understand you. You used pedophilia as an example of a sexual urge (like homosexuality) that is brought about by the same factors, be it heredity, environment, or too much Sesame Street. The point you were making is that pedophiles (I just wrote pedophiliacs without thinking, just thought that was a funny word) don’t have a choice in their sexual urges just like homosexuals and heterosexuals, right? Well if you weren’t, I’m terribly sorry for misinterpreting you. My point was that there need to be some limits on “natural” urges (heterosexuality, homosexuality, pedophilia, necrophilia, bestiality, or any sexual desire truly born out of our control), if they are in fact out of our control. I would suggest consenting, unrelated adults as a starting point. If you differ with that suggestion, I completely understand, just stay away from elementary schools. (Just kidding. 
) It just seems that we draw our lines for what is acceptable morally at different points. So, to sum up my side, even though pedophilia and homosexuality may develop from the same uncontrolable sources, I do think the one that harms minors (who have not had the time to build defenses against predators) should be legislated against for the betterment of our society. I would also be open to suggestions as to why homosexuality should be legislated against as well, or prevented by society in some other sweeping fashion.
