bodybuilding and homosexuals

wtf is it with homos and bodybuilding? my aol screen name lists bodybuilding as one of my hobbies. apparentley in the gay community this means i am a homo and would like to chat with other homos. some “bodybuilder” named “muscledtony” sent me an instant message a while ago. his profile says he enjoys company from men and women. i simply said to him "just because i am a bodybuilder, doesnt mean that i am gay.

this happens to me on a regular basis. wtf? i have always associated bodybuilding with hardcore, masculine dudes throwing iron around. more and more it seems that bodybuilding is becoming the homo sport (im not here to argue if bb is a sport or not)of choice.

ROFLMAO!!! Welcome to the real world…most BBers are homos bro. Especially pros…that and they turn tricks for money with homos.

Dude! Where the hell have you been? Bodybuilding has long been associated with homosexuality!

Just like pro-wresling is… Ok, that last part is just my opinion. lol

P-Dawg, one of my lifting buddies explained to me why he would never consider getting into bodybuilding (as opposed to powerlifting)…

  1. shaved, smooth skin
  2. tanned to perfection
  3. lots of skin moisturizer
  4. bleached teeth
  5. tiny-weeny bikini
  6. learning how to stick your ass out on stage just right!

'Nuff said!

Okay, I really don’t care. Gay men might be, err…gay…but as long as they don’t hit on me (assuming that they know I’m straight) I’m cool with that whole scene.

I do, however, know what you’re feeling. When I was in college, two of my co-workers at my part-time job were gay, and they both hit on me…even though they knew I was trying to hook up with one of the girls there. So I said to myself: “Am I giving off a gay vibe or something?”

Then one of my buddies pointed out that working as a cashier in a supermarket wasn’t exactly the most heterosexual job to have for a 20-something male. Especially one who liked to dance, and who worked with women and gay guys. Duh! I quit that job as a result, and started working in a warehouse. Lifting heavy stuff and wearing torn jeans. Worked like a charm for my confidence! Unfortunately, working with women was much nicer than working with stinky guys who fart as much as I do. In retrospect, I should have stayed at the supermarket. I would have gotten laid more often!

I don’t know, P-Dawg…just take it as a compliment and then laugh it off as one of life’s more comical experiences.
There are worse things in life…like only getting hit on by gay men. Now that would make me worry!

LJay

that is not only disturbing it pisses me off…

The only gay guys i see in my gym are either clung to the cardio machines or doing shoulder presses with 20lb dumbells… this is all so weird

Actually bodybuilding has always been considered a homosexual sport. In the 50s,60s and 70s, those guys were always made fun of by “real” athletes like football and baseball players. Today, male vanity is more acceptable but back then a straight man just did not worry about his personal vanity.

LOL. Seems once in a while, some gender disadvantaged send questions to elitefs. it was funny the way the elitefs answered them.

Haven’t you read those articles in t-mag? “Venice Beach Sex Club”, “Bodybuilding is Dead”, this week’s reader mail mentions it too and has links to gay powerlifting sites.

I’ve always thought that competitive bodybulding is kind of gay.
Like it or not, there isnt many things gayer than a guy trying to look good in a speedo, shaving his body and getting fake tans. Sorry.
My AOL profile mentions that I’m a pro wrestler and a gay guy sent me an IM saying he likes to massage muscular men for free.
I tell him I’m not gay but he says thats OK, I don’t have to be. Then I explain to him that only a homo would let another guy rub him down in a sexual way. Truly straight guys just don’t do that.
Anyway consider changing your profile to say “weight lifting/training” instead of “bodybuilding” or keep the bodybuilding but include a disclaimer like…This doesnt mean I’m gay

This is some funny shit! That’s what you get for making fun of me because of all the IMs I get from dirty old perves and total fat asses!!! HAHAHAHA!!!

I don’t really see what it matters who hits on you, it’s how you handle it that speaks volumes.

p dog maybe they heard about your infamous dry humping technique and you turn them on.kinda like a dog that humps your leg when he is horny.seriously homos are taking up bb more andf that is disturbing.thats why i work out alone at home!

P-DOG,

Relax, that is exactly what is supposed to happen in a permissive society where it’s cool to say “not that there is anything wrong with that.”

Don’t worry it will get far worse!

just do what i do. be a gay basher! it relieves the tension. one swing of that bat upside the head and you will feel ten times better. on another note. i read an unauthorized bio of arnold one time which stated that after moving from austria to germany, arnold of course had no money to support himself. the gym he started training at was well known for having rich gay older men pickup these young BB’s and provide for them. allowing them to train full time and not work a “real job”. arnold was known to have done exactly this. makes you wonder what went on. i mean they say nothin is free in this world right? so what was the price he had to pay?

"i mean they say nothin is free in this world right? so what was the price he had to pay? "

His anal cherry.

Whatever, I don’t care about gay people being into bbing.

I’m straight, have a sexy girlfriend, and I wear a big scowl on my face. I have never ever been hit on by a guy. I think looking scary helps; just frown a lot, look like you’re ready to beat somebody to death, and no gay guys will hit on you. And don’t dress stylish.

btw, Is Jay Cutler gay? I know Ronnie isn’t, he has a wife.

Just to add my 2 cents, I worked at a gym here in Vancouver in the West End, known as the biggest gay neighborhood outside San Fransisco… Its probably the best gym I’ve been to- great equipment and lots of space. At first I admit I wasn’t used to being around so many gay people- and I noticed that almost everyone was in phenomenal shape with muscle to boot. Gay guys care about their appearance more on average for sure. I never got hit on and the people were the friendliest out of any gym I’ve worked at and it felt more like a community too… It is a shocker though, when you see for the first time some 220 pound macho guy all of a sudden run across the room and jump into the arms of some other big guy and say “Oh, ith so good to thee you again hun!” LOL
Pete

Archaic,

Yea, but the problem is you have never been hit on by a female either! Haha.

Maybe if P-Dog posted his picture under his AIM profile, the gay men wouldn’t IM him!

I don’t see what the big deal is. If you’re comfortable with your sexuality, who cares if gay men hit on you? A polite “no, thank you” should suffice. If they persist, then that’s the same level of annoying as a woman you find unattractive, but who won’t leave you alone.
