You sir, are one smart cookie.

ahh instead of everyone talking shit to each other could i get a bit more advise about the program.

Obviously not.

Programing and exercise selection should not be a priority for you.

What you should care about is hitting it hard, be consistent, and learn proper form on the big 3.

If you do all that, your “program” will work just fine for some good amount of time.

You ignored or argued against the solid advice you were given. Will your program see results? Probably. Are there better ways to spend your time and energy? Definitely.

I should have perhaps been a bit more direct. I do not mean wide grip for competing.

Yes, very few do use it even for training, but I read an article by Louie Simmons a while back talking about different max effort exercises. I forget the name of the lifter, but he said the guy was one of the strongest raw benchers he knew and would work it up to a 6 rep max.
I will see if I can find it sometime later tonight.

Edit
I found an atricle where he mentions it, but it is not the original one I saw. I could not find that one.

Not saying it’s not useful on occasion, but certainly not one of the “most useful” exercises for a raw bencher. At the end of the day, though, the “most useful” exercises come to light after determining your weaknesses. More power to you if you’ve found great results with it. My bench actually declined significantly from training cycles with a wide grip.

A note on the wide grip benching debate: should keep in mind the OP says index on the rings. Thats not super wide, depending on your build.

Okay, I see what you are saying. Although I disagree that it is not one of the most useful exercises for off the chest.
