Just moving our “18% BF and going craZ” support thread over to this one to attract anyone else who’s interested in finally sucking it up (or needing help on how to) drop the chunk and bring back the hunk! :slight_smile:

I also started a RBGR thread. But for consistency, lets keep the convo on this one. Look at the rules on the other thread (preliminary of course), and we’ll post an official start date with rules here.

What is everybody planning on doing: CD/EDT route or T-Dawg 2.0/5x5…or what-have-you?

I’m not sure if Joel M. had posted anything concerning if one is a little more Round vs. Ripped? I will do a little hunting, myself.

If anybody has info on any mods for a person with a higher BF% wanting to do the CD/EDT…let us know!

I feel like this is an episode of “The Real World”…everybody just moving in…“I got that room”!

I was able to scrounge enough cash together to grab some Methoxy 7-Hyrdroxy-EC so I was gonna use that with the CD/EDT program.

Peri, I’ll join you in the search to find out if the CD is recommended/good idea for those who are a bit higher than 8% bodyfat! grin

Can we set a start date of next week sometime?

I’m raring to go and want to start NOW, but I wanna plan the workouts/meals/bodyfat levels etc so that I can bring some real science to my training (rather than following it for one day/week then getting lazy in recording the diet/training, etc).

Plus my supps won’t get into town until monday/tuesday ish…:frowning:

If we sort of all follow the same procedures, it MIGHT help get some accurate data that we can all use to “fine-tune” things. I realize that every body’s different, but what about it??

Im in the middle of CD/EDT. Ill finsih up sometime around the 20th of July. Then I am not exactly sure what I will do. thinking of either T-Dawg 2.0 and Fat to Fire, or T-Dawg 2.0 and 5x5. then back to another cycle of cheater’s diet.

Ill post my starting stats on monday, since this begins then. Ill also post some beginning pics. And what beginning pics they will be.

Ill be taking hot roxx, mag-10 for cheater’s, surge for pre/post workout, and Nlarge 2 and Optimum Nutrition pure whey for other powdered protein needs (since I have a shitload of it and it is also cheap). Also have a box of grow bars, for that special occasion. I take a multi vitamin. and also some fish oil caps. . . but after reading some posts, I may need to abandon them since they arent as concentrated as some others. I also have a bottle of ZMA, but I havent been using it since I eat cottage cheese before going to bed and that would counteract the recommendations. Should I use ZMA on a cutting cycle anyway?
Any recommendations?

Cheater’s has been working for me. I started around 19%, it also worked for DocT (read the cheater’s diet post by Joel Marion). just make sure that you cheat. I dont know why it works, but it does. Supposedly it is Leptin response and the leptin spikes after massive refeeds of simple, yet great tasting carbs. lots of em. The data supplied by JB seemed to point to more of an acute leptin response that rises and falls sharply (within hours) than a 2 day leptin overload. BUT. . . . as I know from engineering, results speak much louder than academic reasoning. And I am seeing results.

Man, do NOT do CD/EDT without the support of an androgen.

You’ll lose a lot of muscle that way.

oh yeah, by the way, use mag -10, or 4AD-EC

Periodic overfeeding can be used by anyone at any body fat percentage. Depending on the compound you wish to supplement with, below are the caloric requirements for the given days:

Mag-10 (Recommended for fastest gains and losses):

Mixed Days (Weight training days): consume 1/2 of a strict day’s calories prior to workout; consume 1/2 of an overfeed day’s calories after workout.

Overfeed Days (Days immediately following a weight training day): consume 2g P/lb of LBM, 3g C/lb of LBM, and .4g F/lb of LBM.

Strict Days (All other days): consume 8 times LBM in calories; a minimum of 1/2 of these calories should be derived from protein.

4-AD-EC (Recommended for faster gains and losses with longer cycles)

Mixed Days (Weight training days): consume 1/2 of a strict day’s calories prior to the workout; consume 1/2 of an overfeed day’s calories after workout.

Overfeed Days (Days immediately following a weight training day): consume 1.5g P/lb of LBM, 2.25g C/lb of LBM, and .3g F/lb of LBM.

Strict Days (All other days): consume 10 times LBM in calories; a minimum of 1/2 of these calories should be derived from protein.

Methoxy-7 (Recommended for steady, stable progress; best for females and those not wishing to use androgenic compounds)

Mixed Days (Weight training days): consume 1/2 of a strict day’s calories prior to the workout; consume 1/2 of an overfeed day’s calories after workout.

Overfeed Days (Days immediately following a weight training session): consume 1.33gP/lb of LBM, 2g C/lb of LBM, and .267g F/lb of LBM.

Strict Days (All other days): consume 12 times LBM in calories; a minimum of 1/2 of these calories should be derived from protein.

You can also use the Methoxy caloric guidelines w/o using Methoxy if you are on a budget and would rather spend the money on more protein powder, etc.

I’m doing tdawg 2.0 with carb up days every week according to joel’s specs, and taking hot rox. Doing a 5x5 type of workout with rope jumping.

Alright…I just outlined (sort of) my workout plan with 2 of my friends. (Criticism welcomed)…here goes:

Monday -Chest/Biceps

Tuesday -HIIT

Wednesday - Back/Triceps

Thursday - HIIT

Friday - Shoulders - HIIT

Saturday -Legs

*Basically there are an avg. of 3 exercises per bodypart kept in the 3 sets/5-7 rep range

As far as the diet aspect - I am thinking it will be a T-Dawg 2.0 approach. I am going to run this scedule for the first 4-5 weeks or so. And see how I feel at that point.

I am sticking with the T-Dawg approach because it allows more flexibility in the training style/split. I have been w/o a training partner for the last 2 months, and it sucks. I am slowly loosing my muscle because I train like a “sally” without my partner in my face.
So to gain one back - I will have to reach a middle ground on training style. Just have to be meticulous on what is crammed down my throat.

I also have a vacation coming up with the Fiance and her family (cottage/beach thing) for the first week of August. Obviously weights are out…but it may be a perfect scene for calesthetics/jogging/biking.

Also, try like a bieotch to get some pics of your soon-to-be-departed round-ness…so you can point and laugh at yourself 8-10% from now!

Due to the lower caloric intake of the CD though, I think it might be better for me to start with the TDawg2.0 and phase myself down to the CD…

I only have the Methoxy7 at the moment, but hopefully in a few months I’ll be able to pick up some Mag10 (I’m praying the CDN dollar stays above 70…grin)

Im 20 days in and seems to be going well. Dropping a good 2+ pounds of fat per week, and not jumping around too much with water weight changes.

Still it never seems fast enough, and i’m wondering when the heck my stomach fat will be banished from me for good…lol

I think it is going well. I guess Ill have to post my pics today. I was supposed to yesterday, but after seeing how h-mad was crucified, I am fearful.
Progress is tough to check on CD, but I think I am at about 16% BF, and around 225.
I started around 18-19%, and was about 224-227.
In two weeks, that isnt bad, especially for me.
Like you said, it doesnt happen overnight, as much as you want it to.

I do real well during the day, but i have a hard time feeling like a pussy and telling people i’m on a diet. so at night i do drugs and eat til the cows come home. or at least until i look like one

what does being on a diet have to do with doing drugs? hahaha

tell your friends you aren’t a pussy for dieting, you’re just losing weight so you’ll look better naked, which will result in more bedroom action.

Eating with buddies deal is tough heh…

I’ve never really had trouble doing that, heck ive been in restaurants many times and not ordered anything while everyone else did… Problem is others get uncomfortable so sometimes i stay home then.

wow jodgey you havent lost any weight but dropped fat… meaning you gained lbm?

Ive actually dropped about 12 pounds already, no change in lbm that i can tell, just water and fat.

I know. That was the surprising part. But I think the Mag-10, and Joel’s awesome plan helped spare what little muscle I have.
I have until Sunday, that will be my last strict day.
If anyone has used CD, is the next morning the time that I should tab my final BFP?

You mean after sunday you are gonna start eating chocolate ice cream and pizza every meal, followed by some beer?
