That’s not a gh gut crack head, it’s called he has love handles and he is one of the fattest people in K1 that’s why he has a gut.
lmfao…Sapp is a fucking house…try walking around with as much muscle as that man, and be totally lean. no GH gut for sure…and not fat in the least.
WORST THREAD EVER.

Agreed. This thread is garbage. BTW, I like the avatar. Is that the another pic of Keyra Augustina?
Quit being babies. Who cares if he is wrong or not. I found it intersting discussion untill everyone had to get uppity like,“you can’t tell from a physique, moron”, “if you think it takes steroids to get big you must be a 98lb weakling” “this thread adds nothing to the advancement of this board or humanity, I say terminate it.” I have often thought that a lot of guys in mma probably used and wondered if it was regulated.

If you wondered if is regulated, you just had to ask ![]()
The UFC is under the banner of the Nevada State Boxing Commission, so it comes under their doping policy. Their testing is quite strict, otherwise they don’t the prize fights.
Pride and K1 are based out of Japan. They have no doping policy, and therefore don’t test for it. Like I said, they like their fighters big and freaky.
For the record, I would like to see an MMA competition where people have to be on roids to compete. You have a dope test, and if you pass, you get suspended until you get a minimum amount of drugs in your system.
Oh wait…I think that’s WWE…
I see you’re one those people i see at gym that assume when the see me that I’m using…seriously just because someone is muscular doesn’t mean he’s using…

I have to agree with this one, this is a fun post and I enjoyed it very much until everyone got so serious about it.
…and, I do agree with most of the fighter he mentioned. Sure you can’t tell by appearence… but, Kevin Randelman? come on…
I’m not saying they are on steriod, but why anyone would choose not to use it if PRIDE don’t test for it?
this is a fun thread!!! on the same level as the MAG-10 troll thread!
any one who says that they think they can tell the difference between roided
and non-roided just by looking at a picture is not too bright, just like the senator who said Terri S that she
wasnt brain dead based on a video taken
4-6 yrs before her death and never met
her, and is a specialist in the medical
field but not nuerology(spelling?).

If he isn’t using steroids…then why is his hair orange??? Didn’t think about that did ya. Neon orange hair is a dead give away to roid use. He is soooo busted!!

Wait a minute…my ass is like a fucking shag carpet and I never juiced…god damnit…I would’ve just done the roids if all it meant was more ass fur!
Yea really, can’t we have fun non serious discussions anymore? The guy never said that taking steroids was bad or even cheating, he was basically just bored and decided to start a discussion. Plus while you definately cannot always tell if someone is juicing or not, there are certain times when you can say with 99.9 percent certainty that someone IS using. Bulging muscles with a lot of vascularity and very low BF is a pretty good indicator of juicing. Sure you can juice and not have those things but 99.9% of people who have the pro BB look are probably juicing. Some of the natural BB’s and Thibs are able to attain this look for a week or so during a competition, if you’r walking around year long like it, your either a complete freak or your juicing.
Why don’t we all take a deep breath, relax and go defend steroid use somewhere else. Hell I can’t remember the last time someone said “wow looks like he might be using” without a band of you guys getting all surley and castrating the person for being a 96 lb weakling who had no knowledge of lifting, steroids and also sucking at life. If someone starts criticising someone for using, go ahead and jump all over them, but if someone is just having a simple discussion about it, relax a bit Mkay.

Veg,
i disagree how this young guy went about bring these issues up…he said that these guys were using, and even suggested what kind of AAS, without any prior knowledge. that’s irresponsible, becuase it simply makes no sense, but some nut-sack-head is gonna take him at his word.
however, Babaula, said in another thread that he competes in MMA (and PL, i believe) and said he trains with guys that use AAS and hates it. i can understand that…but posting pictures of people and guessing if they’re commmitiing a felony (isn’t that like slander or libel??)??? come one, people…if i pulled some shit like that one somebody, i’d expect an ass-kicking.
Flame on! He he he (cough, cough)
I mean seriously, the guy was just asking for some opinion and you guys pounce on him and all like that.
Pathetic.
I could probably be pounced on too for posting this, but who cares, I juice and I’m freaking 360lbs and I can benchpress a schoolbus for reps, and my squat?! oh, you don’t wanna go there… so just dare try…
You guys who flame this guy look like you’re on roids too, you got 'em trademark roid rage for flaming.
Now… can anyone direct me to where I could find on help with my bitch tits?

what’s really pathetic is a guy weighing 160 lbs…
you’re obviously a trademark estrogen user…
hope you enjoy having your scrawny ass kicked by small girls.

heavy hands? well, sort of. also lacking in technical skills.

Dude, a couple of things:
Babaula is 16 years old and in high school. He is not competing in MMA;
How does he know that guys he trains with are on roids? The same way he is picking them out on this thread? He probably thinks Creatine is a steroid (like most high schoolers);
I just put in three points cause it sounds better than two.
These “juicing or not” arguments get old quick.
Some of these guys are roided and some are not. Babalu is pretty close with his guesses, at least from my experience. Ive trained with some of these guys(seminars mostly) and been around the mma community almost since the inception of the sport. Obviously, people talk about this stuff from time to time. Many of the guys that babalu names as juicers have openly admitted it or have training partners who have dimed them out. By the way, I believe Tank has used as well.
Does anyone really care? I certainly don’t.
The only thing that bugs me is occassionally some guys will be heavy juicers but pretend that they have never touched the stuff and then talk like they made their athletic acheivements completely natural. That pisses me off because it is dishonest. Otherwise, I think we should leave well enough alone.
that isn’t true. mass is ALWAYS beneficial… especially functional, muscular mass. it’s a lot harder to hurt a bigger guy punching him. this is simple physics. being muscular does not really make it harder to escape submissions if the individual maintains their flexibility.
the old mr. miyagi “size doesn’t matter” karate-mindset is an oversimplification. size ALWAYS matters. size matters a lot, in fact. size can be OVERCOME by increasing skill. but the size definitely matters.

I don’t think you understand my point, STRENGTH is obviously very important but not mass. Of course mass is a side effect of strength so to that degree it is indirectly important. But mass (in itself is not really desired for MMA). Freaks aside, in general, you lose some speed with size and some flexibility, also your cardio is effected because your body needs more oxygen.
Therefore you want to be as strong as possible without accumulating excessive mass. For example, Matt Hughes fights at 170 but he weighs 190 - he wants maximize his strenght without exceeding a particular weight limit. Clearly he has the genetics to fight at 205, but it wouldn’t be beneficial. He would be bigger, but he would also be in their with bigger and stronger guys. You always want to fight at the lowest comfortable weight possible so that you are pound for pound stronger than your opponent.

I disagree here. I feel that excess mass on forearms and calves makes it harder to lock onto an opponent’s limb. I’m sure you’ve seen on multiple occasions fighters who have a guillotine on but can’t quite get their thick forearm far enough underneath the chin. THese are usually LHW and HWs. In fact, I feel Overeem’s long bony arms is what helps him win so many fights via guillotine.
