Roelly

He didn’t seem upset to me.

No need to get so upset tho. Is that you, Roelly?

Strange post.

I am not upset at all.

You make some odd points, but thanks for the essay anyway.

That is fucking fantastic. I guess granny is a decent trainer after all.

This guy is massive beyond belief…I’ll never attain such size and 99% won’t. Butttt…he’s just not aesthetic to me at all.

i don’t typically post in these threads. but it’s irritating when people make up poundages to make it look more impressive. first off the dude is freak’n huge. When i watched the vids the first thing that jumped out at me was the use of bumper plates to bench and squat with instead of using the regular plates that are all around. bumper plates look heavier on the bar, therefore, will look more impressive on a lifting video. I have those exact plates in my personal gym. the red ones are the widest and they weigh 45lbs, the yellow ones are 25lbs, the blacks are 15lbs and the blue ones are 35lbs. If you do the math, it’s 465lbs…still impressive for a “bro bench” but definitely not 574lbs.

Isn’t he from the Netherlands or somewhere thereabout? He’s using kilogram plates.

Red = 25kg = 55#
Blue = 20kg = 44#
Yellow = 15kg = 33#
Green = 10kg = 22#

This is why you see him doing SLDL’s with 440# (200kg).

Oh I see.

Didnt now where the guy is from, but south africa makes sense.

No, you were right, it is Dutch. Oma (grandmother) is his trainer. She was a Dutch champion who started in her 30’s.

but, but

let’s ignore the guy stone loading his back through the entire set, and treat this as an actual set! which leaves it with a projected 1rm of nearly 900lbs…

wow, roelly just beat 5 world records right here! damn!

the behind him barely squats down with him on each rep, honestly doesnt look like hes helping much on these, if you spot someone on squat theres no way your pulling that much weight up from his position. Not saying hes not helping, just saying hes probably there because the guy has 700 fucking pounds on his back, hell i like having someone spot me with much less just in case!

Yep I was wrong, sorry, thanks for the correction. Turns out Roelly is from Curacao which is Dutch speaking.

Roelly is a bodybuilder.
He has not applied for any official powerlifting world records.
So…who cares?

I’m sure them weights in the squat don’t add up to 700lb more like 660lb. Maybe one of the oly guys will know.

bar - 20
red - 25 x8
yellow - 15 x4
blue - 20 x2

= 320kg / 704lb

The plates are kg plates

red= 25kg
blue = 20kg
yellow = 15kg

4x25kg red plates per side = 100kg (200kg overall
1x20kg blue plate per side= 20kg (120kg per side/240kg overall)
2x15kg yellow plates = 30kg (150kg per side/300kg overall)
+bar = 320kg overall.

300 kg = 660 pounds
20kg = 44 pounds
total weight
704 pounds

Hope that helps :slight_smile:

Oh snap!

I don’t care what weight he uses tbh, the dude is absolutely jacked. Hopefully he can come in that condition

Since this is the bodybuilding section and not the powerlifting section can we just leave it at:

Roelly is built like a tank so who cares what he claims his lifting numbers are. Whatever he is doing is clearly working for him and his goals.

Exactly.

Why beat up on him for his numbers?

Hey, at least he looks better than Branch Warren.

:wink:
