huge guy… but the whole ‘film yourself doing entire sets of forced reps and post it on youtube advertising it as full sets’ shit is ridiculous

He looks just shredded in that pic. Does the left side look bigger than the right side though?[/quote]
No…
Your dumb post quota has been reached for the day. Time to back away from the keyboard.

Agreed i didn’t even read the youtube comments but you know they are going to be crawling with people saying the same thing about all those reps being assisted. If those were legit unspotted reps he would be the strongest pro bodybuilder i have ever seen.
Having said that the pic at 285 looks so ridiculous it almost looks photo shopped just cause of how massive he is.
How was it a dumb post? Left side looks bigger than right, might be angle, but from my perspective it does… perhaps understanding the word “dumb” is the dumb part no?

Do you really think a top pro has an ENTIRE SIDE smaller than the other?
It’s called lighting.

Soooo how’s that contest prep coming?
Did I ever say it was? I said it looked that way… and my follow-up reply went into further detail to state that it was probably angle of the picture (assuming the dude to the left background is the one taking the picture), that created the size difference. Not taking a shot from straight on, or if he raised one arm higher, etc. all would throw (*not through) off perception in a picture.
What I basically said was akin to “the sky looks black today” and someone responding, “the sky is a hue of deep purple with greys from the rumbling clouds, and black is what color it is when the sun goes down… what a dumb statement.”
I think there is too much over-reaction sometimes. You’d think I’d called him small or something, lol.

So you knew his right side wasn’t smaller, but asked if it was smaller. Gotcha.
holy fuck…TANK
the bench video could throw Stan Efferding out the window , if it wasnt assisted 100+lbs.
I read your thread… understand now. On a diet as well (though not pre-contest) and understand the “hulk moments.” Heh, good times.
guess he couldn’t have someone upright rowing the bar or atlas stone’ing his back here!
lol, yeah, i’m an asshole. but i think roelly’s whole ‘video my ‘fake’ lifts and brag about them on the internet’ shtick is just as asshole ish.
he’s pretty clearly one of the weakest pros… but he’s also one of the biggest. so i have no idea why he cares to brag about numbers
What language is that, is it dutch?
Afrikaans. It’s very similar to Dutch.

Oh I see.
Didnt now where the guy is from, but south africa makes sense.

Those looked like stiff leg deadlifts which are definitively harder to go heavy on then traditional deadlifts. I don’t know if i would say he is one of the weakest pros but his other videos in this thread were definitively showboating.

- “fake” lifts.
- that he is an “asshole” and is “bragging” for putting these on the internet.
- “he is clearly one of the weakest pros.”
- the video you posted proves nothing at all regarding how “weak” he is. It’s just a random vid.
he obviously lifts the way he does as he feels it works best for developing his physique. It’s like watching a Branch Warren video and saying he doesn’t use full ROM so he is “weak.” Who gives a shit? They are doing what works for them, not trying to claim PL records.

calm down buddy!
now, i will go by your cute bullets one by one!
-
the lifts aren’t fake, in the sense that they’re not being done, hence why they’re in quotation marks. but an assisted bench is not a bench, an assisted squat is not a squat, etc
Why the hell would you bother posting them as actual lifts, and not just muscle training?
As someone who has competed in powerlifting and loves strength sports, this mentality just makes no sense to me. It just reeks of insecurity.
Just treat it as chest training, and don’t bother making it about numbers who won’t matter shit to anyone who has the slightest clue about strength training. This shit would get torn a new one in the PL forum -
yeah he’s bragging. why the fuck would a bodybuilder care about how much he lifts then? especially if he can’t actually lift it?
I don’t know man, maybe I’m missing some huge point to the video!
Seeing as Roelly has gone on to make such ridiculous claims as benching 300kg for reps in interviews, I’ll just assume this is not the case tho!
Edit: Thanks to Mattheus for the word! Showboating is what it is.
-
well… yeah, he is. so? why do you even feel the need to defend this? i don’t give a shit if he’s strong or weak, and for the sake of his bodybuilding progress, neither should he
-
sure buddy! i don’t even actually know how strong or weak he exactly is, because I haven’t ever seen videos of his other lifts unassisted, but I don’t really care.
On Branchy; Nope, Branchy is one of the strongest Pros atm!
And yeah, it’s kinda obvious that whatever it is that Roelly is doing, it’s getting him big. And hey man, he can do whatever the fuck he wants to, just like how can think whatever the fuck I want to about what he does!
No need to get so upset tho. Is that you, Roelly?
