A mile? Why do you do dis

4/13/14 - trained one motions today for some pretty tall loads because I cannot lap a stone yet due to my leg still.

One motion stones over 54" bar (NO tacky)
180x5,5,5
253x3,3,3 all sets no tack[/quote]

Got any tips for one-motion technique? I’ve done it a few times, but purely on accident. When I intentionally try a one-motion load it never seems to work out quite right, haha.

One mile farmers walk of death (punishing myself as usual)
85/hand x 1 mile. took like 30 minutes to complete, was just so grueling, I started getting heatstroke mid set I swear I was not ready for this!

You are fucking nuts. Reminded me of Andy Deck’s annual prowler mile, only worse!

EDIT: no clue how to get the quotes to work right, sorry

You’ve gotta put the quote bracket on the line below the youtube url instead of just after it. Everybody messes up the quotes when there is a youtube link involved lol.

I do things like that impulsively to keep myself disciplined. Most of the time I hardly ever think about quitting, and even in the past instance of 120/hand mile long farmers It never crossed my mind, but for some reason that day, with a minuscule 85lbs on the handles made me want to DIE. I wanted to quit halfway through, so you can just imagine what it was like to have to force myself to finish lol. Once I got tired I’d set a physical goal to get to (a catch space or a streetlight) and I’d commit to getting there usually around 50-120 feet from my current position. Bruuuuutal.

Triple extension is really the only tangible thing I can give to you as far as technique goes. I’m aggressive with any stone. I don’t huddle it in my hands or find my grip, but rather explode as if to power clean or tire flip. Do what comes natural, since the stone can be found in natural settings I reckon!

Yes I am crazy btw.

Also, Chris, how do I quote multiple in one message? I think I asked before but…since we’re on the topic…

4/20/14 - first yoke session since 2 months

Yoke (no belt)
270x100’
360x100’
450x50’
540x50’,50’,50’ felt easy and fast

Sandbag carry
205x50’,50’,50’
205x100’ picks starting to bother hamstrings shutting it down

Stone one motions to 54" NO tacky
180x5,3
253x3,3,3 these were 10X more brutal than last weeks. biceps bugging me and almost passing out on every load.
