Quick question about reps and sets. I gained alot of solid muscle and size off of 8-3 and 10-3. I’ve looked alot on this site, chads set/rep bible and other things but i havent saw anything about defining those muscles. I’ve read in some bodybuilding mags that most of them use 15 reps, i was wondering if this was good for keeping size and defining the muscles, if it was how many sets is appropriate?, or if theres another perimater thats real good with keeping size but getting everything ripped.?
Definition is about your diet and/or cardio to get you to a low enough BF%. Keep lifting heavy.
Thanks for the response, i agree with you there, i do some cardio, not alot. My bodyfat is about 10% i have visable abs, well the top 4 poke out. You can see my muscles ripped when i flex, but when i dont there big but not that hard, muscle strand look, if that makes since. I was wondering about the reps though, if higher reps (15) give you a more defined, ripped look, opposed to (8) wicth gives you alot of solid size?

There is a lot of very good information on this site that you have apparently not bothered to read.

your not getting it, being ripped is entirely dependent of bodyfat. even a skinny guy with no muscle can look ripped without body fat. so if your gaining muscle off of 10 / 3 keep it up and try to reduce your bodyfat. but if your at 10% and you see just a “4 pack” you probably just lack muscle, so worry about getting bigger before you worry about getting ripped, i’ve sacrificed my six pack, and ya know what, it feels great.
