damn… it’s good that i have a thick skin you fucker CC:) you’re just jealous because i haven’t done standing curls in over 3 years and i’ll be curling more than you:)
Dream on, sissy!
If there’s one type of exercise I’m going to eternally dominate you in, it’s the curl.
I know, it’s hard to accept defeat and all that… But you’ll learn in time, grasshopper.
and… when i talk about benching, i’m not talking about that Hammmerzzz strength bench all you bodybuilders claim to call a bench:)
You’re just trying to mask the fact that your bench is exactly as big as your belly at any given time!

Seriously though, I’m sure you’ll be able to keep it high.

Meat, I love seeing that consecutive leg drive in that 405 x 10 video. That shit is spot on!

i pulled a hip flexor two weeks ago. tonight was a testing out night to see if it was just a minor pull or something more. luckily it was just a minor pull. i can still feel it a little so i shut it down early. next week i’ll bump the squat up to 635.

I was hoping for smith wide RGB 495 for 12 here or something crazy like that. But it’s the gesture that counts, I guess
No offense, but have you seen any of his older BB’ing stuff? He’s had a brick shithouse foundation for years.

Are you still planning on hitting max singles on squat or will you be upping the reps?

i have a powerlifting meet coming up next month, so yes… hitting the ME stuff hard but i’m including a good bit of high rep stuff too.

hey meat, which meet (wtf?) are you doing?

I have been contemplating a meet in September. IPA PA states, SPF Salem VA, or there was another one but I cant remember what it was.

whats your fed?

i’ll be competing in the SPF Worlds. I competed in the Salem meet this past year as well.

deads

full ROM - warmup
135x10
225x10
315x6
405x4
495x3
585x1
655xnope… i’m using a new technique of grip and rip. i setup all wrong and grabbed the bar way off center. i let off instead of straining against it. need more practice…

elevated deads- these are always tough for me but these felt really good tonight. i’ll up my top set by 50lbs next week.

405x3
495x3
585x3
675x3

seated overhead press
0x10
135x10
225x6
335x5- left a couple reps in the tank. this was 20lb jump from last week. i’ll up it to 355 next week and try to keep the reps the same.

standing alternating dumbell curls
40’s x 6
60’s x 6
90’s x 6- video card filled up. only got the first couple. i’ll move up to the 100’s next week.

First, this thread Delivers. Thanks for sharing this with us. It’s going to be pretty flippin cool to watch this process.

Question about the Rack pulls/elevated Deads:

I know you said you have a meet coming up, but after are you going to still do these the same?

Ultra heavy for triples and reset between each rep? I mean I guess, should I be resetting between each rep too?

i like to throw in supramaximal work to condition my body to heavier weights. so… yes, i will continue to do this kind of stuff. it’s also really good for keeping the grip strength ahead of my full ROM pull.

IMO, you should always set up after every rep. i’ve tried the touch and go but my form always goes to shit after a few reps.

meat, those seated OHP were crazy. that is sick. I am excited to see your delts once you get down to contest form.

[hijack] countingbeans, you need to go back to your old avatar. i never had to look at your name, and its throwin me off not having the 6 fingered man around… [/hijack]

Great lifts, sounds like you’re taking in a TON of protein. Do you blend whole foods into your shakes – do you use a casein blend?
