Excellent pulling- and yes pressing too,
Looks like you are going to make a big bang at this next meet.
I think your support team is dead on with the cutting. Dont bother…

Your numbers are awesome. I think it is a great decision to not stress about weight. Hit some big numbers and you can always cut after the meet if you want to drop down to 148lb weight class. Have you checked out the records for both weight classes?

Yeah…Provincial records are:
67.5: 182.5/95.0/162.5/437.5 so in lbs: 403/210/358/964
75.0: 170.0/100.0/187.5/435.0 so in lbs: 375/220/413/959
I’ll be getting close for squats in 75 and close for deadlift in 67.5. Bench at 67.5 will be close, but much further than the other two I think. A tighter suit and I could get to the squat/dead numbers. Too far for this meet but not far that they’re unrealistic anymore.
Also, if I hit two of my three semi-planned third attempts I will make my Masters total at 75kg. If I go 9 for 9 at 67.5kg (or make my 3rd deadlift and one of my other thirds), I could totaly Elite. That’s pretty sweet for my second meet if you ask me!

You’re real close. When going for records, it looks like you are better off in the higher weight class. Work on your bench lockouts and get a tighter suit and you can beat the squat, bench and total. Then you can work towards the deadlift ![]()

Elite for your second meet is amazing. All the female plers on this website are kicking a$$. It motivates me to push harder.
Claire
That would be crazy awesome to get an elite total for your second meet. Now you have me excited and anxious for your meet.
Elite total?
You whore. ![]()

Only if I lift at 67.5 and lift as I’m hoping. Otherwise I’ll have to settle for Master at 75kg ![]()

Trained in Niagara today. Everyone was done by the time I finished squats (I guess they all had a short day) so I didn’t bench. It worked out well though because my arms are sore. I’ll do it on Monday when I’m back there.
Squats:
45x10
135x5
165x3
185x2
205x1
Suit on Straps Down, Knees wrapped myself:
245x2x1
Suit on straps up, knees wrapped by someone else:
275x1 - Stance wasn’t wide enough, missed depth
275x1 - Got depth, didn’t wait for the rack command
295x1 - Got depth, didn’t lock out my hips, need to f*ck the air
295x1 - FINALLY!!
So before my last at 295 they asked if I was done for the day. I said I had to have a clean lift before I left. I was given the scenario: “I opened at 275, got red lighted because I didn’t wait for the rack signal. Took a risk and moved up to 295 because the weight was so light on the first. Missed it because I didn’t lock out my hips. So now, it’s my third attempt and I need this lift to stay in the contest.” I fucking nailed it. I haven’t thrust my hips like that since…well, in a long time.
We decided my squat attempts would be:
135kg - 297.6lbs
145kg - 319.7lbs
150/155kg - 330.7/341.7lbs
Depending how I feel, I may want 157.5 or 160. We’ll see how they go day of. In my mind I want more than 340. Maybe we’re going the way of 9 for 9 for this contest though.
Fyi PMPM…I’ll need to go 9 for 9 with this current 3rd attempt squat in order to total Master at 75 ![]()

You’re going to have to change your T-Nation name to: L33t-lifta-ho
Well at least now you’re not just a dirty, squattin’ whore… :-H
So Todd has me refeeding this weekend (Sat/Sun) to trick my body into thinking it has a lot of extra fuel to burn. I’d been keeping my cals around 1700 non training, 2000 training. Training days had more carbs, but I was still dragging ass bigtime as it was less than I typically would eat. This weekend I’ve been aiming for 2500-2700ish calories, lots and lots of yummy carbs. Yesterday was delicious, let me tell ya. I didn’t fitday all of it because a lot of it came from daddy’s homemade recipes. But it was damn good. DAMN good! And I’m confident I was in the 2600ish range, about 40ish% carbs, 40% protein and 20ish fat.
Already this morning I’ve had oatmeal, some fruit, a shake and some nuts and I’ve only been up for 2 hours. My body is hungry again. I didn’t plan on stepping on the scale until Tuesday, but was told yesterday I can step on it as long as I don’t stress about it. Anyways… Thursday morning I weighed in at 159.8lbs (yes, I rounded down and said 159 haha) and this morning I weighed 157.8. I’m betting it’ll be back up a bit before all is said and done because I’ll retain more water with the added carbs, but it still makes me happy.
I was supposed to head into the gym today and do a non-weighted circuit (similar to the V-Burn for V-dieters), however I feel like lifting something so I’m going to do one of Cosgrove’s BB complexes from his Complexes for Fat Loss article ( Strength Training, Bodybuilding & Online Supplement Store - T NATION ). The weight will be light, but it’ll still give me something to do.
Tomorrow morning I’m back with my adopted family at the Niagara club. I’ll be doing board work/benching as well as some very light deads to work on rolling the bar towards me. Frank had me try it the other day but in my gear with 315, it was just a bit too much to figure out at once. I’ll likely stick to around 185.
Enjoy your refeed! =) Great numbers, by the way…I’m not going to call you names, but I can’t promise I’m not thinking it in my head!

Hahaha thanks shandwill
As long as you keep the names in your head, I’ll add you to the (very short) list of nice people on this forum hahaha.
