Went for the third day in a row… I plan on taking tomorrow off because I’m heading to Niagara on Saturday and didn’t want to do two days off in a row. I did some shoulders/arms per Todd’s suggestions. It was Courtney is a weak girl and needs to use the girly assisted machines day. I hated it lol.
1 Arm DB Row (focus on pulling high - thumb to natural waist)
30lbsx10x3
On my second set of decline skulls Ouro spotted me and acted like a retard. I was taking a breather so I could knock out a few more and she grabbed the bar. I made her give it back to me and laughed while I did two more. I was laughing too hard and it started coming back down and she was chatting and I had to be like “uhhhh a little help”. It brought back memories of the barn when one of us would be a dumbass trying to spot the other.
Even though it was a “short” session, I still ended up being there for like 2 hours. I gabbed a lot because I needed lots of rest between sets so I could knock out the next. My arms were not happy with me lol.

Holy yap yap yap batman.
Although it was fun at the end when we tried to squat on the bosu ball. That was freaking hard. I almost peed on it from laughing.
Going back to your question for strengthening your triceps. Something you could try at your gym would be floor presses.
Now it won’t address your sticking point, but it will allow you to develop your triceps strength with a heavy pressing movement without putting too much pressure on your shoulders.
If you try it, use a closer grip, keep your elbows tucked and no back arch.
So I’m heading to Niagara tomorrow morning again. I was just talking to one of the guys and he asked if I wanted to try a bench shirt - that it may help my shoulder. Apparently they have a few that would fit me, so I said sure. I love hand me down equipment

It’s been my experience that bench shirts, and equipment in general, help make owies not hurt for the lift. I occasionally would get a sharp pain in my shoulder from the torque of the heavy squat when wearing equipment, and this would mess with my bench. The shoulder hurt considerably less when wearing a shirt.

I found the same thing. I was having problems with my left shoulder before my last meet but it only seemed to be painful when I benched raw.
I like floor presses for tricep work but I use a DB and not a BB. Neutral grip, tuck elbows by my side and feet down (so i don’t use lower body). It is a great tricep exercise and you can use some pretty heavy DBs.

haha the iron cross…that must be what you’re talking about…near the lat pulldown station?
dude, why do you never come introduce yourself?
Next time you’re in doing the ‘Iron Cross’ and see some dude shaking his head at you, that’s me.
j/k
You looked ‘focused’ on Saturday and I was in a bit of a hurry. Next time I’ll spot you on your squat rack curls.
Hopefully you spot him in a slightly less creepy way than Court was spotting me.[/quote]
Sweetie, you liked it. You’re just upset cuz I didn’t get close enough to touch you. Rumor has it Steve will be around tomorrow and will be attempting to impregnate me hahaha.

That will be an interesting method of spotting for bench training.
