Even though I didn’t bench really heavy yesterday, I was so focused on form and staying tight on everything that my upper body is killing me today.
I also lied - I didn’t plan on stepping on the scale this morning, but I did. I guess if I was still heavy or even more heavy, I just wasn’t going to freak out about it. Anyways, I’m back down to 68.0kg. The guys in Niagara say this is a good weight for me to be at this week as I will drop a pound just by limiting water and food Friday night. Actually they said “because you can piss and shit that out”, but this is family programming
I’m travelling (at least only a few hours by car) from Tues midday - late Wed for work. I’ll make sure I pack all my food and water and I’m also going to try one of those low back heat patches while I’m actually driving since my back has a tendency to stiffen up.
It’s funny that it doesn’t stink? What’s it like where you’re from? Unless you have some bad infection or ate tons of garlic, it typically doesn’t stink here.

I went to the gym today just to try to work on my hips and shoulders. While I was there I actually saw a trainer that I wanted to hug. (Yeah, I just said that).
She was a female trainer and she was training a rather overweight lady, probably in her late 30s. Anyways, I forgot my ipod cuz I’m cool like that and was stretching on the mats beside where they were. The trainer had her doing some basic movements and wasn’t just standing there staring off into space like they usually do. She was gasp motivating her!
While I was there she was doing some supersets… lunges (she wasn’t stepping, just getting into lunge stance then going up and down) while holding a medicine ball and twisting to each side. After she did those, she was doing BW Squats where she’d squat to touch the ground with her hand, stand up, walk over a bosu ball with the round part up (touch with both feet), then squat on the other side.
I could see it in this woman’s face that she felt like giving up. In fact, a few times she stopped doing her lunges and put the ball down. The trainer picked it back up and said “You can do this… remember what your end goal is. You only have 5 more, come on. You are not a quitter.” The woman picked it back up, almost in tears and finished her set. After she finished, her trainer patted her on the back and said something quietly to her that actually got a smile.
They moved to another area of the gym after that and I didn’t see them before I left. I probably looked like a creep cuz I think I was watching a fair bit and smiling. It made me happy that she was in there and was busting her ass. Had I seen the trainer on her own before I left, I probably would have said something to her.
Most trainers at my gym look completely disinterested in their client and what they are doing. They are more focussed on who is in the gym and what they are doing. This was completely refreshing.
Anyways, that’s my happy thought for the day. I’ll go back to being a cranky bitch per usual. Wouldn’t want anyone to think there was something wrong with me

That is nice to see. If it were me, I’d mention it to the management so they know that people notice and the trainer is doing a good job. I’ve done things like that and they invariably think I’m some weird stalker but if I were the trainer, it would make me feel pretty good.

The trainers in my gym are completely glued to there clients…its like there in there own world…
I like working with Victor(my trainer) cause I felt all the attention was on ME, and its not that I was trying to show off for him, but I felt really motivated!!

I’ve noticed that Miss Court is a bit of a showoff so I’m going to suggest that she would prefer in front of everyone. I could be wrong though. Just so long as there isn’t any ass near the dinner.

I did the same amount of squat and bench work - stayed light with both. I didn’t do any DB or CG though because the front of my shoulder is still bugging me. I go to see Aras tomorrow afternoon and am telling him he has two things to fix on me, my shoulder being the most important.
My hips/glutes can be tight, they’ll just take a bit longer to warm up. The shoulder can’t feel like this though…
I’m so pissed that I went back a page and read all this talk about food. Hell, do I have the option of buying some food to cook for myself, or am I being forced into cheatdom?
I’m looking forward to meeting all of you folks, and I’ll make sure to clean myself up so I dont end up looking like this guy.

Bartl is cooking. He may be able to tone down the unhealthiness of it if you beg. It’s what you want versus what 3 ladies want. That said, it is likely cheat meal for you. 90/10 rule.
We will discuss alternatives when you arrive on Friday. Eat clean this week so you can cheat Sat night. You can go back to clean eating Sunday morning.
