The scale is currently playing games with my head. I haven’t been drinking enough water the past two days and when I stepped on the scale this morning I had put on some weight.
In order to deal with this I’m going to drown myself today and tomorrow and not step on the scale again until Sunday morning. At that point I will initiate Court Freak-out if my weight is still up.
I had been down to 68.0kg and am now back to 68.3kg. Not a huge deal I don’t think, but still. Hoping by Sunday I will at least be back down to 68.0.
You’ll make weight, easy. Just keep up the water and take the juice of one lemon each day. We are in the same boat, I’m 61.3kg this morning. I started 8 liters a day on Monday and I’ll cut back on carbs next week some, nothing drastic though until a few days out, if needed.
Keep your head in a good place (I know it’s easier said then done) and try not to get too worried. This week is about mental clarity, focus and visualization.
You are going to rock it out Court, you’ve done the hard part already by putting in the work and pushing your limits. Just rest up and relax. We’re going to have a blast!

I’m telling the Niagara boys (btw, the guy you met at Quebec provincials is the guy that’s doing my numbers) that I’m hitting 308 for my final squat attempt and he can kiss my ass if he thinks I can’t do it. He’s been on my case about how he won’t give it to me if I don’t believe I can do it and if he doesn’t see it in me that I believe. I’m doing it. Period.
I’m wearing pink. Pink tee, pink belt, and hopefully, pink chucks (to deadlift in). It makes me happy.
PS. I need a new title for my log. This one seems a little…outdated. Thoughts? Anyone? Anyone?

Are you still making an appy? Goat cheese dip? As far as dessert goes, I’m not the biggest chocolate fan. If I could find a good cheesecake place I could go with a chocolate cheesecake though. For the record, I will be waking up Sunday morning over 70kg. I’ve already accepted that.

Not a big fan chocolate, but I might have enough vino in me to make it happen.

I’m good for cheesecake and I’m doing the chevre (goat cheese) dip appetiser with extra garlic.
Had my last heavy day pre-meet in Niagara. I really enjoy all of the guys. The sexual comments and innuendos make it a lot of fun.

I’ve really let Matt get into my head about how I’m going to approach things. They told me last week that the weight is only as heavy as I believe it is. I knew what was loaded on the bar for each set, but once I was actually wrapped and going to set up under it, I couldn’t have told you what was on it. My squats were deep and fast and felt really good.
The only thing that bothered me a bit was that my hips were super tight and took a while to warm up. I’ll have to make sure everything feels nice and loose before I get started next week.
My plan for the next week includes light squatting and benching on Monday, light cardio (10-15min) and stretching every day, lots of water, lots of heat and lots of rest. I’m pretty sure I can oblige
They say I’m at a great spot weight-wise since I’m about 1.5lbs off. I’ll weigh in right near the upper limit and will feel good.
