I need to take a break from life… or at least things in life that are causing me stress because while I can be bitchy on a regular basis, I’m not generally a full-time bitch.

Anywho, my body has basically given me the finger today. I put it through physio on my back, all of Magnificent Mobility, Active Release Therapy on my glutes and hip flexors, a few more exercises from MM, weight training, and HIIT.

I realized I’ve gotten a bit ‘soft’ around the middle and am not really liking the look. So I’m going to start doing HIIT and/or steady state cardio again.

HIIT:

I’m determined to hammer my core so my coach can no longer tell me I have a weak core. One of the regulars (that was in the same comp as Todd but in a different category) told me he was surprised that my core was what my coach thought was weak. At least HE doesn’t think so haha.

The way that’s phrased makes me wonder what he thinks is weak. It’s kind of like “Oh your coach thinks your core is weak. Well maybe, but I think … is weak.”

Is this regular the one competing on the 22nd when we go on our club field trip? When I mentioned our outing to a friend (sister of guy competing on 22nd) she said we need to get gang colours or something. I’ve always wanted to be a thug.

Don’t worry too much about a weak core. Worry a lot when it’s your mental process that is weak.

Well he was surprised because he expected me to say my triceps or something. He knows my bench sucks and thought Bill would have thought the same…

And yes, this is the guy competing when we go on our field trip. That being said, I’m buying my ticket through him cuz he was one person away from getting part of his fee waived. Ask your boss if he wants you/the kid to do the same through him.

As for gang colours…should we all maybe wear orange SC tees and a singlet? I’m thinking mine should have arrived well before then. It would be cute hahahaha.

Hey, that’s good news about Janet being from your club. So far, she’s the only one in my weight class. I was checking the only woman so far in Court’s class. She has competed quite a bit. She can take her though.

I’d like the info if you can send it. Who knew Tony’s Creek was such a chicken source. I would eat more chicken but I’m poor.

Right now I’m soaking a bunch of beans (black beans and lima beans) for a mega batch of beans and rice. It’s an amazing source of fibre and protein for very little cash. I was recently turned onto this mash by another friend. Throw in some ground beef and some Louisana hot sauce and it’s very good.

My last set at 72.5, Ouroboro lost her mind. She started to give me commands on my 6th rep instead of my 10th. Then, I finally got to 10, had to look at her to get her to start the commands.

She says “Start”, I lower the bar to my chest, but she never told me to press. So I started pressing, she says “Oh shoot, press”, I laughed and got it to the point of almost locked out before she grabbed it. I guess at that point she thought me laughing hysterically at her while attempting to lock out might be a bit dangerous.
