I’m going to post this video of Court from today’s training session before she posts what she did. I win!!

Please note the super hot boots she’s sporting for her squats. I believe the weight is 170 she’s doing pretty easily for 8 reps.

I’d like to point out the fact that the video didn’t load  So I’m going to post my training first.

Okay so O beat me to her repeat post with video. I’d like to point out “the boy’s” fat ass in the foreground hahaha. Oh and this was my third set of 8 at 170.

Bench
45x1x10
65x1x5
80x1x5
82.5x1x4
85x1x3
87.5x1x2
90x1x1
80x1x5 (pause on last rep)
70x1x10 (pause on last rep)

Flat DB Bench
25x3x8

CG Bench
60x3x8

Squat
45x1x10
95x1x5
135x1x5
170x3x8
95x1x5

DL
135x1x5
185x3x5

I talked to coach after and told him I planed to do the Open meet on Jan 24th. He thought it was a great idea. Also says I’ll have time to peak twice so I’m going to start doing some singles.

Coach wasn’t there for about half of the session and we were having lots of fun (hence all the lesbian talk). The boy wanted to wrap my knees for a single squat, however once coach showed up, the fun was sucked right out and everyone got serious again. He didn’t dare suggest wrapping my knees in front of him hahaha.

PS. My squat boots are sexy. If I were a guy, I’d do me.

It loaded the second time so clearly I still win

Hi Court =)

I’m just stopping by to say hi, you know, since although I’ve been reading I haven’t in your thread in ageeeeees!
Can we be friends again? I’m no longer on vacay so maybe I’ll catch you online this week. I miss youuuuuuuuuuu!

My friend, you’d have better luck prying cake out of a fat kids hand than keeping me away from your log for long!

I’m really frustrated. My low back has been bugging me for a little while now but I’ve kind of been lifting through it. I went to get it checked out today and turns out coach was right - my core is weak. My core and low back are weak so my SI joint isn’t stabalizing properly. Therefore everything is getting pulled out of whack and I feel pain. The good news is I finally know what’s wrong with me. The bad news is I still feel pain.

I’m taped kind of weird right now on my back in a way that is forcing my left side to stabalize properly. It feels a little better. But my muscles in my glute and back are still tight as fuck.

I didn’t do my upper body stuff today like a good girl, but I’ve been so bloody cranky, tired and sore. I haven’t been sleeping well because it hurts…

I “know” that I should probably take Wednesday off training and let it have a week off from doing anything… especially 3x8 squats at 180… but I don’t “want” to… Ugh.

We both know you don’t train anymore, hence the lack of log, so pretty soon YOU’LL be the kid whose hand I’ll be prying the cake out of :stuck_out_tongue:

Yep. That’s right. I just called you fat. Whatcha gonna do about it?

Stop trying to bait me into posting sexy pictures for you to oogle after running guy goes to bed. I wont fall into your trap, Ms. Watts!

For some reason I didn’t see this yesterday. That is very sucky about your back. You should go to training tomorrow but more to talk to Bill about what he would recommend you do. I’m sure he can tell you how to train intelligently until this is sorted out. I know it would suck not to go heavy but there are 12 1/2 weeks until Niagara so it’s better to fix it now than leave it. After all, with 30 years of coaching, I’m sure he’s dealt with this sort of thing many times.

It can’t be worse than the ‘period’ talk I had with him. Just keep that in your head if you want a laugh.

I hate it when people other than me are right. Boo to you and Boo to Bill!

I’ll bench tomorrow but that’s about it. I’m seeing my physio beforehand so I’ll at least have an idea of how long she thinks I shouldn’t be pushing it. So I’ll make sure I talk to Bill about how I should train in the meantime and what sort of schedule he’d like to see me do leading up to Niagara.

On a positive note, the tape is working wonders. I’ve been pain free so far today (with the exception of getting out of my car this morning) and my back and legs feel looser already.

I like to be right. If, however, you think for a moment I’d be able to follow my own advice, you’re crazy. I’m not all that bright though.

Hi Court =)

I’m just stopping by to say hi, you know, since although I’ve been reading I haven’t in your thread in ageeeeees!

Can we be friends again? I’m no longer on vacay so maybe I’ll catch you online this week. I miss youuuuuuuuuuu!
So I guess there’s only room for one minority in Court’s life.

You win this time Sayjin, but I’ll be back.

Hey Court,
I hope you’re not still hatin’ on your legs…my best friend so your avi and he had nothing but good things to say about your legs.
I saw your video and I second that.
So, I guess you get the minority vote in the leg department.

There’s always room for you TMoney! I just thought you deserted me like Sayjin did. The more the merrier

Nah, I’m over it. I’m training with some PL guys now who think I have super strong legs. In fact that young kid asked me to flex them last Wednesday and on Sunday the older guy was making fun of him for it.

Glad I have the minority leg vote hahaha.

Your work in the video looks good. Your butt’s coming up a little fast, but given your follow-up posts, I write that off to being tired.

Nicely done. I always get a kick out of threads that start with, “I want to lift Y” and end with Y being easy. If you can handle three sets of eight reps at 170, you can probably get something close to 300 for a single. Granted that’s conjecture, but I’ll bet you’d be surprised.

Combat Core (Smitty, Diesel Crew) has some great work ideas for stabilization strength.

No way I didn’t desert you, just that I don’t really have anything constructive to add to anyone’s log, so I become a spectator.

Tmoney,

We need to talk. As chairman of MAC, I’ve been made privy to some information regarding Ms. (o) that will blow your mind wide open…

So happy to see you back SR! Ya I went back and looked at some of my old vids and you’re right. I really am thinking too much instead of just doing. As long as I set up properly, once I start going down, I should turn off my mind and just do.

I’m slightly entertained with how this log has turned out… once I start doing singles we’ll see how things go, but with some wraps and a belt, I’d love to eventually hit 300. How sweet would that be? lol

I’ll look up Combat Core. I did some planks and reverse hypers earlier today and I hope that the reason I’m so weak today is because my body hasn’t been doing these movements properly in a bit. Because if I’m really back to struggling for my 3rd round of 30s planks, I’m going to shoot myself. Either that or be in my office at work doing planks all day. How’s that for awkward? haha

Oh, please share. I’m all ears.

Upon your sharing of information, we will make a joint decision regarding her status.
