I called Bill Sunday evening to tell him about my squat suit. I told him what I got and that I’d tested it a few times. He seemed quite good with it. He said to bring it Wednesday night so he can check it out. Sometimes it’s all in how you deliver the information. He also made suggestions for tailoring so it can assist on DL.
I tried it on again last night and my thighs are looking pretty nice with abrasions and what not. I wanted to check my depth and back arch. You should have seen me in the dining room squatting with the broom in front of the mirror trying to see my back.
Now watch, tomorrow night he’ll gather everyone around to look at me and point out how fucking awful my form is. “C’mon everyone, around to the side. See how bad that is? She sucks” hahaha

hahahaha Oh man you totally got me laughing out loud again. Poor boy on Sunday, poor you tomorrow. “I want everyone to watch from the side and see how she isn’t arching her back or keeping tight”.
If he does, you bet your ass I’ll be turning my laugh into a cough cuz I won’t be able to contain myself. Or maybe it’ll just turn into “Nope…nope…rerack it” everytime you don’t hit depth.
Looking forward to spending an hour getting you into your squat suit tomorrow. At least it won’t be as homo-erotic as my experience on Sunday

where’d they put it, same back corner?
Yep - they moved the weight tree to between the hack squat machines and moved the other two squat racks a bit closer to the smith machine and shoved it in the corner.
It’s a bit tight - I was using what is now the “middle” rack and the guy on the other old one had to wait until I was done my set to get his weights on without disturbing me. Shouldn’t be a problem though since there will always be at least one person doing curls in them… sigh… considering we have a pretty good collection of barbells, it pisses me off the number of people that try to curl 65lbs. Curl 60, keep your form, use the BB.
I’m going to start beating people with the barbells til they figure it out. You might be next.
Court, for the weights at Bill’s place, he sets all of mine except for what I did while he was away. I’m trusting in his experience to have a feel for my capabilities and be able to judge what I should be doing in order to peak for my next contest.
At first it was a bit of a guessing game because he hadn’t seen me go through a cycle but now he has. All to say, talk to him tomorrow night about what exactly you should be doing. He can be forgetful so don’t be afraid to pin him down or even call him at home to talk privately.

I promise I won’t start any rumours.
You promise not to start any rumors in general, or about pinning Bill dodwn to talk? No rumors about the kid… it might break his little heart and get his hopes up haha.
So I finally got in to see an allergist yesterday - I’ve been having issues with eggs since late spring, though it took me a while to pin it to eggs. Thankfully food logs and me writing my moods/feelings if there is anything extreme in it helps a lot.
Anyways, I went to see her and after going through my medical history she was concerned because of how specific I was able to be about the timing and symptoms of what happened after I ate eggs. Also concerning was the fact that most egg allergies occur in children and they grow out of it, and don’t develop later in life. She gives me a speal about how skin tests result in a lot of false-positives as well as false-negatives but decides to test me anyway…
She tests me for a number of things in addition to eggs - dogs, springtime allergies, etc. For those who haven’t had a skin test done for allergies before they basically put a little drop of whatever they’re testing you for on your arm. They then go through and break the skin under the liquid to let it get into your skin and watch for reactions. Well the egg solution was the first one she broke the skin for and before she had even gotten all the way through the other 8 or so she was breaking, half my arm was red and rashy.
Verdict: I am allergic to eggs and given that I don’t fit the typical mold of sufferers, and the fact that my arm blew up the way it did, I now have to carry 2 epipens on me at all times and will be getting a medic alert bracelet made.
I also had a reaction to what I thought was morphine a few years ago after my appendectomy, however she thinks it could have been the general anaesthetic, so I’m getting tested for those next week at which point they will make me my bracelet.
It’s kind of scary because with the exception of my appendectomy I’ve been very healthy. My family has been as well and none of us suffer from allergies. Ugh :S Stress.

I’m totally starting rumours about you and the boy. I have to get my entertainment somewhere. He’s the only one I’ll tell though.

I could have sworn that the day we trained with AC you ate an omelet and nothing weird happened. Except you taking a nap after the session.
But at least its only eggs. You could be allergic to meat, legumes…hell you could be allergic to latex. Then you would have to have all sorts of unprotected sex. Lord knows what that leads too…

I did… maybe it was the California eggs that started to get to me. In the spring it was just a bit of an upset stomach when I ate them, but by the summer it was much worse.
And yes. Unprotected sex would be bad. Can you imagine a world with a bunch of mini-Courtneys running around? Terrifying!

Ha. He asked how old I was tonight so maybe he now realizes I’m too old for him. Although his response when I told him was “You’re still young”. He kept making eyes at me at the end when I was talking to Bill about weights for Sunday and Bill was telling him what to do and where he was going wrong. He kept smirking at me…
But O, don’t you dare start rumors that will cause me to break that young boy’s heart. Lord knows I’ve broken enough already lol…
Trained tonight at le Barn. Almost broke my face (thanks O). Forgot I had chalk on my back when I got home and got chalk marks on my parent’s leather couch.
First things first:
Bench
45x1x10
65x1x5
80x1x5
80x1x4
82.5x1x3
85x1x2
87.5x1x1
77.5x1x5 → with pause on last rep
72.5x1x10 → with pause on last rep
DB Bench
30x1x8
25x2x8
CG Bench
55x3x8
Squats
45x1x10
95x1x5
135x1x5
160x3x8
135x1x5
I’m going to be doing 3x8s for squats because coach hates me. And by that I mean he’s trying to get some muscle memory going on so it becomes a bit more natural. I was working with the bar lower tonight (hence the chalk on the back cuz it kept slipping) and using wrist wraps so they didn’t hurt and man do they ever work! Gonna have to get me some of my own!
So on to breaking my teeth… I was warming up on bench and I’m not even sure what they were talking about, but on my very last rep of 65, O said something about les-bionics (there’s a story behind it involving my mother using that term and worrying that by PLing I’m going to become less feminine so she wants me to get everything possible in pink) and I laughed, spitting out the breath I was holding and dropped the weight back down to my upper chest.
On my way home I had lots of energy, made plans to go home to change then see Running Guy. Got home, took off my sweater, sat on the couch, got chalk all over it, got up to go upstairs and call to cancel on RG to go to bed instead and got yelled at for the chalk mark it left
I’m really enjoying training with these guys - tons of fun. Moreso than at the gym where I joke with lots of peopole but most of them don’t take it as seriously as me… Anyways, bedtime. I’m tuckered.

Here’s the genesis of the Lesbionics. Boy asked if we talk a lot on the phone. We said we’d never spoken on the phone; we correspond on T-Nation. We tried to explain the site in general and Powerful Women in particular. He got this really confused look about a lot of women trading information about lifting. I just said, 'nevermind, we’re really just a bunch of lesbionics".
As for his interest, I don’t think age will slow him down. I don’t think he thinks I’m too old so for sure you aren’t.
If you feel weird burns on your stomach, it’s from his eyes burning holes into you on bench when your shirt was riding up. I"m surprised you couldn’t feel it. I just laughed.

Maybe it was the California eggs that didn’t upset your stomach. After all, things are better on the west coast.
Some of the regulars have expressed disappointment in not being able to see me squat heavy anymore. I told them it would only happen if I missed a session at the club. I think I saw tears lol.
I’ve started foam rolling twice a day and doing the hip/glute mobility found here at least once a day:
My SI joint is/was locked and therefore my entire left side of my lower back feels like a million bucks I finally think the muscles around it are loose enough that my chiro might be able to adjust it tomorrow. Here’s to hoping!
Training today:
A1. YTWLI 2x10-12 0s rest - 5x10, 2.5x12
A2. Seated Face Pulls 2x12-15 90s rest - 30x12, 20x14
C1. Bent Over BB Row - 3x12-15 30s rest - 50x15x3
C2. Triangle Pushups - 3xAMAP 30s rest - 11x2, 10x1 (done from knees)
I didn’t do hypers or any ab work because of my lower back pain. Figured it would be smarter of me. My shoulders and tris were hurting by the time I got out of there though!
My lats are really sore today from last night for some reason. And my glutes/hams are sore from squatting. At least coach will be happy I’m using those and not just my quads
