To prove to your body who is boss… and to win me the bet!

Its only one more day right? You could do anything for just a day

Toughest day mentally. All I feel like doing is crying, curling up into a ball and dying. I want carbs. I want something to make me feel like I’m not going to pass out everytime I get up too quickly. Ugh. I just totally feel like ending this damn diet now and going back to what I was doing. What’s the point…[/quote]

Whats this…a chink in the armor? are you about to quit? and here I thought you were some tough canuck. guess i was wrong and you are nothing but talk

My offline communication to Bartl was much nicer than to Todd. To Bartl it was basically “No I don’t like your tough love thank you very much”. To Todd something along the lines of “F*ck you. And your mother. And your girlfriend. I hate you. Die”. And then I stopped responding to his IMs.

I kinda sorta maybe almost blacked out last night at the very end of dodgeball. Like went white, saw black and was unsteady on my feet. My team freaked.

Apparently I’m of more value alive than dead, so I’m watching my dizzy spells and having sugar (aka carbs) to make sure my blood sugar doesn’t get too low, I fall into a coma and die. Or have a seizure. Both would suck. So, before heavy legs tonight I get berries and soda and am under strict orders to follow directions.

Todd would rather me live than hit 148. How sweet of him

Today’s the last day, right?!!

You saw black and then became unsteady on your feet? I have that affect on women when I appear.

Looking at the verbal raping you gave people, I’m glad I didnt give you any tough love, but I’m glad you’re not dead. 8 hours and 48 minutes to go.

Tonight didn’t go so well. Todd can attest to what I actually looked like because I don’t know. All I know is that I spent about 5 minutes holding onto the bike he was on trying not to pass out and/or puke. But it’s done. We’ll see what the past day’s adjustments have done tomorrow…

You could’ve called me Haley Joel Osmont last night. No, not because I’m about the same size right now, because “I see dead people!”

Or at least pale versions of living ones.

Court didn’t look all that well last night after hypers.

She looked fine after her berries and Coke but not so well about an hour later clinging to the bike handles.

Anyway, you got through 10 days. Perhaps a few days too many. Maybe we should have had you consume more calories. I’m still kinda scratching my head as to why she felt so bad the last few days. I felt pretty bad seeing her that way last night.

You seemed OK after 5 days, so we’ll leave the next diet as is, but will quickly adjust it if you feel any recurring symptoms.

Day Ten

And the winner is…
A friend: 143.7
Borrek: 146-147
Pch2: 147
Todd: 146-148
TMoney: 149
Another friend: 149.4
DD: 149.4-150.4
Sayjin: 150-151
MiM: 151-152

No one… 149.2 boys and girls.

Okay updates…
Weight: 155.4lbs - 149.2lbs (-6.2)
Measurements:
Shoulders - 41 - 40.5 (-.5)
Chest - 33 - 32.75 (-.25)
Ribs - 30 1/4 - 29.75 (-.5)
Waist - 28 1/2 - 28.00 (-.5)
Midsection - 33 - 32.50 (-.5)
Hips - 37 1/2 - 37.25 (-.25)
Thigh - 23 (both) - 22.25 (both) (-.75)
Calf - 15 (both) - 15 (both)
Bicep - 10.5 (both) - 10.5 (both)

So that’s a grand total of 6.2lbs and 3.25 inches lost in 10 days. Now besides the whole trying to die at the gym thing, I’d say that’s pretty damn successful!

Also one of the regular guys who has always been in love with my legs has been drooling even more this week. When I did my measurements this morning it then made sense… losing 3/4 of an inch from the thigh… of course they look better.

I had berries already and am making pancakes soon. Yep, that’s right. Pancakes. Drool!

Oh and just one final note on how terrible I felt last night: I got over to a chair to sit down with RG’s help… and Todd’s girlfriend came over to see if I was okay and sat next to him. I didn’t realize it was her until she introduced herself to him. I actually thought it was just some random chick :S

I think I have the same waist and midsection measurements now… hahaha!

You forgot to tell everyone that you were finally shown the correct way to perform a SLDL.

C’mon now!

I had a dream last night that I had lots of carbs and my muscles inflated really big and veiny.

congrats babe! thats great progress and I’m glad you didn’t die. I wouldn’t have had anyone to pester me about not posting on your thread.

So my stupid piece of crap computer decided to crash just before I hit submit on my last post so this is a rewrite… I have a few bits of training and a few "Stupid things I saw yesterday"s to add…

First the funny stuff:

I learned how to do Stiff Leg Deads and found out I’d been doing them wrong. Between my sets of squats yesterday I look over behind me to see a trainer who has his client on the platform doing SLDL.

Not only is he a trainer, but his vest thing says “Master Trainer” which means he’s one of our gym’s top trainers supposedly. Well I watched while his client looked down at his toes while doing them, resulting in a back shaped like a lowercase ‘n’.

My back hurt just watching it. What’s even worse is that the trainer was saying things like “Yep. Good job. Keep going”. Ow!

After my lunges, Todd pointed out a couple douches that he’d told me about before. Two big guys. Well they were in the squat rack and I heard them grunting as they “squatted” two plates.

Then I heard them grunting more (not to mention the obligatory “It’s all you”) when they added a third plate to each side. Oh and I forgot to mention they were also using the “pussy pad” on the bar.

I say they were “squatting” because I don’t even think their depth could be considered a 1/4 squat. It was more like they would unlock and then lock their knees repeatedly. It made me sick to watch.

Had I felt better and had carbs in me I would have gone over to the empty rack, put two plates on (after having already squatted, SLDL’d and lunged) and done a few sets of doubles with good depth.

Emasculating, probably, but I don’t care. I also felt like going over and telling them if they pinched their shoulder blades a little they probably wouldn’t need the pussy pad. And that they’d also get more out of it if they were to drop down to a plate and do a full range squat. Running Guy said I shouldn’t bother, so I was a good be-otch and listened.

Now the fun stuff: Training!

Tuesday was just 45min of LI cardio before dodgeball so the boy and I went for a brisk walk.

Last night was legs 5x6:

A. Squats - 175/185/185/195/195
B. SLDL - 115/125/135/125/125
C. Lunges - 35lb DBs
D. Hyperextensions - 3 sets with 45lbs

I didn’t get my last 2 sets in or standing calf raises for reasons mentioned above.

I’m taking tonight off training so my body might decide to love me again. Maybe.

PS. Banana muffins are almost as good as sex.

How’d the diet effect work? Are you still able to get things done and think? It tends to be my biggest worry about low carb, I need to be on point all day.

Well with the exception of trying to start a fire in the microwave at work (but that was on day 1, so it doesn’t count), I was fine. I do a lot of detailed data analysis, so I hear you on needing to be on point.

I felt fine and alert… it wasn’t until I physically exerted myself that I started feeling icky.

AARRRRRRGGGHHHHHH!!! I was soooo close to guessing your weight. Nice work Courtney, keep on keepin on and wishing you well in your next phase of training and diet.

This is for you:
