Good luck beating that out of her. You might have better luck beating pretty out of Whoopie Goldberg.

Tmoney,
As Sayjin eluded to, that’s for me to know and you to find out (if you win).
Don’t have my training log with me so I will post last night’s training later tonight. I was a volleyball superstar afterwards which was awesome
haha.
Training was short, but tough. All of the muscles in my upper body were screaming at me by the time I was done. I feel it should be a rather different session weight-wise when I do the same session again on Sunday.
I would like to share a message that a regular on my log (not Todd) sent to me:
Cake
Cookies
Pancakes
Oreos
Pie
ALL >50g!
What a jackass! Mucho love to them still though…

Who did that?! Send me their name, address, and tele number and I will meet with them in person!

Shouldn’t be too difficult… you know them personally. Even intimately perhaps. And no it’s not Wol… I think their avatar has to do with boxing. Just a guess though.
I will not rest until this fiend is put in his place!
Day One Training:
Upper Body 3x12-15 with 45s rest between sets.
A. Bench Press: 15x55, 15x55, 12x60
B. Ass. Chins: 13@9, 15@10, 12@10
C. Skullcrushers: 15x20, 13x20, 11x20
D. Seated Rows: 12x70, 50x15, 50x15
E. DB Side Laterals: 15x5, 15x5, 13x5
Then played 1.5 hours of volleyball.
Day Two Training:
20 minutes HIIT on the stairmill… 30 seconds work (100 stairs/min), 60 seconds recovery (45 stairs/min). I was so sweaty it was unreal.
Then played 1.5 hours of dodgeball.
So I’m not really sure if I’m just storing up all my aggression throughout the day and everytime I want a starchy carb I store a bit more aggression in it’s place, but I’ve been on fire sports-wise these past two days. Last night I was absolutely killing the ball and tonight a few of my teammates said I had my ‘game face’ on and was going for the kill. I may or may not have accidently threw my hardest ball and hit a guy in the junk. But it actually was an accident.
Day 2 is done, just time for bed. Day 3 here I come ![]()
Court,
When you do HIIT, have you found a pace where you know you’re working hard, yet you don’t burn yourself out before your time limit is up?
I ask because I do primarily bike sprints as my HIIT, but I cant find the medium where I know I’m working hard, so I end up gassing out from ILS (Immovable leg syndrome) after 10 min.
Tips plz! =D
Since everyone has all these action shots of themselves, I’ve decided to put one up too. While I may not be moving in the picture, you can bet my mind is racing, so therefore it counts as an action shot - enjoy my freshness!

I know what I can do if I do sprints on the treadmill just from when I was training for my half. The bike I wouldn’t have the slightest idea. Todd has been doing HIIT on the stairmill as he preps for his comp and he gave me an idea of a good working and rest rate. I increased the work rate a bit because after my first three intervals I wasn’t hurting as much as I would have liked. I made up for it at the end.
However, when I have felt gassed before my time is up, I tend to slow my recovery pace down a little and milk that time for all it’s worth ![]()

You just did this so I could no longer hint by their avatar about who was sending me nasty messages about carbs. I’m onto you.
I feel like crap today. I woke up and had my protein shake and about 20 min later I felt like it was going to come right back up. I still feel gross. I shoved some food down my throat for a snack but haven’t eaten lunch yet.
Is it normal to feel like this?
My stomach just feels so unsettled that the thought of food makes it turn. And I have heavy legs tonight so I have to get my cals in first or I’ll die.
I dunno hun… could it be a bug?
I haven’t heard of people feeling sick from less carbs…a litte hungrier yes, but not nauseous…then again, everyone is different!
do you normally have shakes on a empty stomach?

Yeah, I find that just whey on an empty stomach makes me sick too.

Yeah it’s the same shake I usually have in the morning and have been doing so for months.
I managed to shove some lunch down and feeling marginally better. Still a bit icky tho ![]()

Icky’s been going around, try some Vit C and hot tea.
maybe an excess of stomach acids?
Hey Court, sorry to hear your stomach is not cooperating, hope you get better soon!
So I finally told my body who was boss. Even though I got a slow start to it, I got in all my calories with the proper breakdowns… a little higher in fat to make up for some missed protein, but meh, it’s all good. My carbs were still at 48.9 so I’m happy. And my tummy is too.
Had a good heavy leg session tonight. By the end I was gasping for air, trying not to die and debating puking, however this was the “had a great leg session” pukey feeling that I like.
5x6 Lower Body 90s rest between sets:
A. Back Squats - 165/165/170/180/190
B. Stiff Leg Deads - 85/95/105/105/115
C. Walking Lunges - 35DBs
D. Hyperextensions - 25/35x4
E. Standing Calf Raise - 115/115/135/135/155
The last rep of the last set for each exercise was pretty damn difficult. Apparently at the end of calf raises when I sat down on a nearby bench, I went pretty white. I did the same thing at the end of the 5K on Sunday so Running Guy was concerned since it’s happened twice in 4 days. I felt alright though. However dude curling 65lbs beside the squat rack wearing an assload of cologne made me queasy.
So curling dude… comes over to where Running Guy and I are sharing a squat rack. There are 2, both were empty, however since we were going to be taking it over for a while we decided to just work back and forth. Some other guy uses the second rack to do cleans. Well this little gino guy wearing white tearaways (yes apparently those still exist), a white sleeveless tee (which he had no business wearing) a white hat, and weighing 140lbs soaking wet if he was lucky, comes up and asks RG how much longer we’ll be… Note: RG was in the middle of spotting me for my set at 180. When I’m done, RG tells him we’ll be a while cuz we’ll likely use it for stiff leg as well.
Dude goes beside us where there’s an extra bar and when I’m putting RG’s weight on the bar, I see this guy put two 5lb plates on each side. Then proceeds to curl. I tell RG that if when we leave he goes into the squat rack to curl that I was going to go back and kick him out. I felt it was only right to forewarn him so that he could choose to distance himself if needed. Thankfully the douche didn’t. He went from curls to leg press with 25lb plates on each side. No joke. I laughed. Normally it wouldn’t irritate me as much cuz he’s really just another douchebag, however it smelled like he showered in his cologne immediately before walking into the gym and I gagged a little the first time I smelled it. Oh and I’m carb deprived so I’m a little less patient. Patience never has been my strong suit either…
Anyways, enough rambling. I need my sleep. ZMA-less tonight
My supp store is having a massive sale this weekend so I’m going to hold out until then.
Glad you are feeling better!
