It shall be.

It will be a great test. I have a feeling I’ll be pretty miserable for most of it, but oh well. C’est la vie. I’m just glad I have a partner in crime to do it with. Will help with the support.
Knowing I have regular readers/posters will definitely help too. Plus Todd’s “If she follows it exactly” comment… Eff you Todd. Eff you.
So my hamstrings are still super tight from Tuesday’s Stiff leg deads. Note to self: Next time don’t be a hero/super lazy and actually change the weight on the bar. Or you won’t be able to walk for days. I figure the pain has to subside tomorrow.
Why tomorrow? Cuz if it doesn’t I’m going to be stressed out about my 5K race on Sunday and considering I’m already irritable that won’t help.
Went to the gym tonight and did a session Todd put together for me the other day when I was bitching about my hams and shoulder being sore and wondering what I could do. I figured since the situation still applied and I didn’t go to the gym yesterday I’d do it today.
It was pretty quiet in there which was a good thing considering each of my supersets had me all over the damn place. Way to think of the gym layout Todd standing applause.
It was a 6/12/24 rep scheme with 120seconds of rest at the end of the third exercise in each set only:
A1. Front Squats - 6 reps - 2x115, 2x125
A2. Bent over BB Rows - 12 reps - 4x70
A3. Leg Extensions - 24 reps - 2x45, 2x52.5
B1. Assissted Chin Ups - 6 reps - 3xAss. level 6
B2. Lunges - 12 reps - 3x40
B3. Lat Pulldown - 24 reps - 3x50
Todd had given me a third grouping to do if I felt up to it after the first two, but I was starving and needed to feed myself.
I’m enjoying myself this weekend in anticipation of the pain to come. Case in point: Had a girly night and saw The Women. Also shared an absolutely unhealthy but amazing dessert with a girlfriend.
We were both cranky and man-hating, so what better way to get over it than with chocolate and ice cream? I don’t want to hear any comments about how I shouldn’t have eaten this, blah blah blah. Don’t care. Keep it to yourself.
That is all
Good night.
A race! Be sure and tell how it goes. And there isn’t a thing wrong with chocolate and ice cream. Except it’s a bit wrong that you shared ![]()
I remember the last time court tried to go “low-carb”. Basically take a t-rex and shove a tricerotops up his ass. That might give you just a little idea of what we are in for.
I agree with Debra, Court. Nothing with with chocolate and ice cream, except that you shared it. I might have said I had to go to the bathroom and smuggled the food in with me and ate it on the toilet.
But that shows you’re a better friend than I am…and less gross.

Haha oh Bartl, you’re such a nice person to me
How could I ever have been bitchy towards you? This is much more low carb than that was, so everyone should be in for a treat. Are you available over the next 10 days (starting Monday) for daily chats? I know you want to ![]()
Are you saying I’m a t-rex? That’s rad!

Well okay. It was on a waffle (I know, I’m such a traitor to pancakes) and had vanilla ice cream, chocolate fudge, bananas and strawberries. But I shared because I didn’t know how sweet my sweet tooth would be.
And Sayj, that’s super gross. Like throw up all over my keyboard gross.
So here’s the details on the workouts.
Lower Body
Back Squats
SLDL
Walking Lunges
Hyperextensions
Standing/Seated Calf Raise
Upper Body
Bench Press
Assisted Chin Ups
Skull Crushers
Seated Rows
DB Side Laterals
Mon - Upper Body 3 x 12-15 - Vball
Tues - HIIT (20 min) and Dodgeball
Wed - Lower Body 5 x 6
Thurs - Upper Body 5 x 6
Fri - HIIT (30 min)
Sat - Lower Body 3 x 12-15
Sun - Upper Body 3 x 12-15
Mon - HIIT (20 min) and Vball
Tues - 45 min LI and Dodgeball
Wed - Lower Body 5 x 6
I’ve included the Vball and Dodgeball in there as well.
This isn’t like most of the other workouts I’ve given you where we’re supersetting a whole bunch of exercises. It’s simple. Perform the prescribed sets/reps, move to next exercise. The kicker is you get 45 secs between sets on the 3 x 12-15 days and 90 secs on the 5 x 6 days.
So for example, Bench Press 3 sets at 12-15reps.
Set 1. 14 reps @ 55lbs
45 seconds rest.
Set 2. 12 reps @ 55lbs
45 seconds rest.
Set 3. 12 reps @ 55lbs
45 seconds rest
Set 4. Assisted Chin Ups
You get the idea. Believe it or not, you’re a smart girl sometimes and will get this. ![]()
If RG is going to train with you, then on the 3 x 12-15 days just work back and forth. Or are you at that point in the relationship? ![]()
she’s a smart girl *sometimes?
I hope you DO go t-rex on everyone.
But not me, cause I’m nice :P. Can you post pictures when you turn into a dinosaur though?..cause that would be AWESOME!!!

Good luck on the challenge Court!

She clearly admitted she whacked her head against a barbell on this thread. That equals ‘sometimes’. Nobody’s judging. We’re just being honest. ![]()

Thank for standing up for me MiM, however I agree with Todd. I was just about to text him asking for info on my training when he posted this. I then started bombarding him with questions online only to have my questions answered later on in the thread…
And to both you and pch2, if I physically transform into a dinosaur and not just emotionally, I promise photos.
Ahhhh…so I just got back from my run and one of my last meals as a free woman ![]()
I did the 5K (3.1 miles) in around 31 minutes. Pretty slowish, but my hamstrings are still super tight and I just didn’t have it in me this morning. I was missing that drive I had for my half, likely because I decided to do this race on a whim and didn’t really train for it. Running Guy stayed with me the whole time which was nice considering he probably could have finished it around 25 minutes max.
Anyways, last night the two of us planned at least our first few days on the Todd Diet. My target calories as Todd said are 1683kcal, with 48g carbs, 202g protein, 77g fat. My first 3 days will be 1688kcal (47.9g/204.1g/76.5g). Pretty damn close if you ask me.
I’m thinking I will feel full for the first few days because I’ve been eating “regularly” and regularly for me is not nearly enough calories. I will be missing my carbs though. I will also be moving my workstation to the bathroom because I feel 5-6L of water will just be running right through me.
I will still be taking my BCAAs during/post workout and will be having a morning & PWO shake. There will be fish oil, a multi and Vitamin D, and the rest is all real food.
I will post my starting weight (allowing for any final changes in guesses) tomorrow morning, along with initial measurements. Until then, it’s off to the store to buy everything I need and cook up a storm.

I was starting to read this post, but your avatar is distracting me. Just pretend like I read it all.
“Good job, Court”
Wow, your front squat numbers are very legit Court, looks like things are rolling right along for you!

Okay this might be a very stupid question… but what do you mean they are “very legit”?
Good luck on the low carb diet! My wife and I did the Anabolic Diet for about 5 weeks, then she got pregnant so we decided to go back to it later. The induction phase was pretty rough but not too terrible, although I think it was the high fat that got me through it.
Towards the end of that 12 day induction my workouts sucked balls because of no glycogen. I was really dragging ass in the gym. After we started having the carb-up weekends my workouts returned to normal, but I found I had lost my taste for carbs and sweets.
Now after coming off the diet entirely, for the time being I find I am incredibly more carb sensitive.
Is your goal body comp related or are you just trying to shock your system?

Well it’s a little complicated. It all started after a discussion on if I could make the 132lb weight class for PLing and I know I’d have to get a bit closer to it beforehand.
It will definitely shock my system. Into doing what, who knows. I’m all up for trying different things to learn more about my body.
