So another day, another training session. Last night was legs again. Yipee! You’ll notice I dropped my weight halfway through my sets of deadlifts. Todd came over and yelled at me to get my ass lower.
Which then resulted in some yelling back. Anyways, I struggled with this, so dropped the weight trying to make it feel ‘right’. I think I’ll video my lifts next week both how I had been doing it and how Todd says I should be doing it so I can at least see it and “see” the difference.
A. Deadlifts - 8x4 90s - 155, 155, 165, 165, 175x2 (this is where the yelling match was), 155, 155.
B. Lunges - 4x 5x5 90s - 30lbs
C1. Sumo Squat - 3x12 - 55lbs
C2. Lying Leg Curl - 3x12 - 60lbs
C3. Hyperextensions - 3x20 60s - BW
Biked, showered and officially got hooked on Heroes lol.
When I was DLing, there was a huge guy (HG) squatting next to me. The following conversation ensued:
HG: Wow. A girl deadlifting.
Me: Is that not allowed? (full of attitude obviously)
HG: Allowed?! It should be mandatory. F*ck all those fat skinny women over on the treadmills.
Me: Laughs
That conversation was fine, he then asked if I was into Powerlifting and I said I had hoped to get into it, would need to work hardcore on my upper body. He then got on my nerves a little as he started talking about all these programs and keeps saying after every one “Have you ever heard of that”… Uhh, yeah.
I do read up on it every now and again. I mean who HASN’T heard of West Barbell?
I told him I was going to google/wiki search SS because I heard that was THE best program around and the ONLY program that mentally challenged females should be using and see if that might help me. (Kidding, kidding).
Anyways, all in all, a pretty good session.
