I’ve been on NO Xplode/Cell-mass for about 8 weeks now and it seemed as if my gains had finally peaked. My bench had seemed to peak and stayed constant at 205 x 9 for probably 4-5 weeks. I finally started taking Surge again four days ago (instead of muscle milk collegiate) and low and behold- today my bench went up to 210 x 10. I was a little surprised, and would love to think it was because I’ve been working harder…but the only thing I’ve changed was adding Surge to my diet- post-workout.
Just thought I’d share my experience with it and pimp it a little.
A - NO products are garbage, the fact that you made any progress while taking them is simply because you lifted weights at all. 8 weeks is nothing by the way… Wait until you have been at this for 10 years and you will realize 8 weeks is a drop in the bucket.
B - Benching 205x9, there is only room for improvement. You HAD to go to 210x10 at some point… The fact that this happened 4 days after you started taking Surge(which is simply sugar+protein) is mere coincidence.
You sounds young, which means you have plenty of gains ahead of you. Supplements like Surge can help your progress along, but they are not the cause of it. Heavy ass lifting in the gym does that quite nicely all on its own.
I suspect the Raspberry flavoring is the true secret to your success. Please buy the other flavors and get back to us on how your gains on Raspberry compare to Root Beer Float.

I said 8 weeks of NO Xplode…not 8 weeks of TOTAL TRAINING. How the hell did you get lost? My bench peaked 4 weeks ago- that means it went UP until that point- but you say it HAD to go up sooner or later. (After that loooooong four weeks)
Do you usually have increases in bench every 4 weeks? Or were you just talking out of your ass?
Most people who consider NO products to be “garbage” have either NEVER taken them or couldn’t follow the directions. “No food three hours before taking this? Fuck that…”

I know enough to avoid taking flying leaps of logic.

Obviously you don’t. You think I IMAGINED gains.
You’re reading and comprehension is extremely lax, so to reiterate my first post, I said it was an unexpected gain as I didn’t do anything different, until I realized I added Surge to my diet. What I definitely didn’t say was that “Well, I read that Surge would make me huge and swole, so I bought a bunch of it and just knew that I’d get bigger…and then I did.”
I think you need to not only re-read OP, but also YOUR first post. You obviously don’t know what the placebo effect is.
NO products are garbage. It’s a great way to piss away 65 bucks. I’ve taken them, I run a supplement store. Go have a red bull and you can get the same energy boost you’re looking for. You won’t probably get the same pumps but the actual pumps don’t really do anything…
This is where you respond with, but bigger pumps build muscle because it’s making bigger tears in the muscle.
This is where I say, no. Excess damage to muscle does not cause muscle growth. Food + stimulus causes muscle growth. The “pump” is worthless.

If you spent $65 on a bottle of NO than you’re an idiot. Well, you work in a supplement store so I guess that goes hand in hand.
“have a red bull, its the same thing” For the most part, it is- it’s just a lot of caffeine…but a red bull (here) is $3. 11 of those sets you back $33 (the same price I pay for NO Xplode) which has twice the servings…and NO sugar and about 1/10th of the carbs as a sugary ass carbonated red-bull.
Low-carb redbull. Solves your problem on the carbs.
Because I work in a supplement store I’m a moron? How odd. I like to think it’s allowed me to not rip people off and sell them decent products (even though I can’t get Biotest to run me a whole-sale discount, I’d run a Biotest store then heh). I was taking base price of most NO products at your local GNC. Yes you can get it online for cheaper.
NO-Xplode is a lot of caffeine with a tad bit of arginine. And really you don’t even know that considering BSN has been under litigation for false representation of NO Xplode and there being crap on the label not in it and stuff in it not on the label. BSN has been getting that fixed from what I hear but still, I wouldn’t mess with a company with a history like that.
The fact remains, that you coming on here acting like an asshat do very little for your credibility. What have you shown on us on here? That you take sub-par products probably because you bought into all the hype in the magazines. You do not understand the placebo effect. Just by you taking anything you can get the placebo effect.
For instance I could give you a drink and say it’s “super steroids” drink and will make you way stronger. Just by you drinking it, and believing it will work, you will see some improvement in your higher rep range work that you do. If you had said hey I do 205x2 and now I do 210x5 or something that would of been a credible gain due to something compeltely different then just the placebo effect.
Yes Surge is great, most everyone here takes it. We don’t need you to pimp it for us.

I had a whole post typed up, but F it… You wont listen to anything I say anyway. Here.

As said, it’s garbage. Stop taking it personal, and realize we’re trying to save you money; money that you might spend on steak, or more protein powder, or whatever else that will ACTUALLY work.
You’re spending $33 for pretty much 22 servings of caffiene. Arginine will open your blood vessels for 10 minutes only, and not your whole workout. (Sorry, lost my references supporting this claim.)
If you NEED caffiene that bad, you can buy 100 grams (that’s ONE HUNDRED to TWO HUNDRED servings… beats the heck out of 22) of pure caffiene anhydrous for $4. And then the 100-200 empty pills you use to capsule the caffiene anhydrous will cost about $4-7… a grand total of a whopping $11 (max).
Saves you a whole heck alot of money, and with the savings you can actually go out and buy you some lean meat and what have you.

BWAHAHAHA, YOU “lawled”?? I’ve been “lawling” my balls off for awhile now. All this nutrition advice coming in from people with “years training: 2” and Bodyfat %'s of “Too high” “higher than it should be” and “25%”.
Who’s going to take any nutritional advice seriously that comes from someone with over 25% bodyfat?
Maybe you should get off the T-boards and get your fat (and newb) asses in the gym.
