Rep Changes in Conjugate

I’ve read through almost all of louie simmon’s and dave tate’s work but I havent been able to find an answer to my question. right now im following a the basic outline from the vault ebook for my assistance work changing from days of low volume and high int to high volume and low intensity. my only question is how often should i change the reps for assistance work?

i’ve been changing reps weekly while keeping the exercises constant 9he mentions in the book they should be kept the same for 5-8 weeks i think) and I havent had much of an issue I just wanted to see what other people were doing and their resoning behind it.

In my understanding of choice of exercises I think it depends. I think they always keep the reverse hyper and glute ham raise. It seems they other exercises are picked to help weak areas and work the muscles from a different angle.

I agree with you it seems like 5-8 weeks is what is suggested but I think lifters also have favorites that they continue to get results from and they are kept in. Part of it seems to be how effective the exercise is and also to add variety. The variety is to not allow adaptation and also to prevent boredom by the lifter.

i ran across a thread asking a similar question to this and a guy of heavy bodybuilding influence reccomended doing three week cycles of 10-15 7-9 and 4-6 sounds good but i think i would be beat to shit by the end of the last three week cycle.

here ya go

Doesn’t directly state how often to change reps but after reading the workout scheme it looks like he changes one exercises reps about every three weeks. Thanks for the post man!
