I want to talk about the dumbell squat variations to see if my opinion is wrong or not.
I try doing goblet squat and sumo squat with dumbbells in replacement of squat . The fact is that the weight of the dumbells is so ridicolus(at least in my gym) that if you do this kind of esercises for 2-3 months you have to swhitch automatically to barbell squat or doing something like 20 repetions.
Furthermore, even if you can provide a very heavy dumbbell made by your trusted smith, you may have problems wiht handling with this one. I don’t know how is comfortable doing goblet squat with a heavy dumbbell/kettlebell in your hands…For hypertrophy purpose it actually worth spending time in these exercises?
