Hey, Reed, I have a couple videos up from my squats/deadlifts (each against light bands) can you tell me what you think about the speed/form? It was the heaviest week of the three week wave. Oh, I hope sumo deadlifting treats you well.

Thanks ahead of time, DSSG.

Possibly the TN State in November and or a SPF Powerlifting meet in Novemeber. Your going to nationals right?[/quote]
Where is the strongman contest in November?

And that SPF meet is the one in Gatlinburg I guess? Dude I’ll be there; not sure if I’m competing, but I will definitely be there spectating and handling some of my training partners.

Yeah we are doing the one in Gatlinburg on the 9th. The strongman comp is in Memphis out at NBS or what ever it is. Pretty sure its the same week of the SPF meet out there. Hope to meet you and see you out there man introduce your self Ill be the short, chubby, guy with the bald head haha I know that atleast 50% of them but im sure you can figure it out.

Awesome! I’ll just have to hold a picture of your face up next to the all the other short, stocky, bald, bearded, tatooed guys there until I find the right one lol.

That’s the exact strategy I would use haha.

Squat Volume and Condotioning.

Back Squat:
45 for 10
95 for 10
135 for 10
185 for 10
225 for 8
275 for 5
315 for 19.

Leg Curl 3 set of 15 with 115

The 315 for 19 is a 2 rep PR and at 20lbs less body weight. I wish I could count during these high rep sets I honestly would have shot for 1 more just to get my 20.

315 for 19… does any one know why my videos are uploading with out sound. Not that it really matters but 2 mins of just quite squatting is not as exciting.

What did?

Can you tell me what you think about any weaknesses for my squat? I normally squat wide, but my adductors were not going to let me do it so I pulled my stance in to a moderate stance. Here is the link to the squatting Photobucket | The safer way to store your photos you’ll have to quote my message since T-Nation does not like to show links for photobucket.

Once again, thanks. I appreciate all help from you.

DSSG

Ps. Minor warning: I recommend turning the volume down on your computer.

Me and Sam drove down to Atlanta to train with Steve Goggins and a few of his lifters. Had a awesome time, hit a big easy PR and got a ton of advice from 2 of the bests.

The plan was to work up to about 430 for a single and have a 10lbs PR and then wrap up and hit 450ish to learn the movement with wraps. I wound up hitting 430 like it was a speed squat. So we decided to just try for my wrap goal without the wraps. 450 smoked it barely even see a sticking point felt great. Finally squatting over double body weight.

Speed Pulls: 135x2x3, 225x2x3, 275x4x3

Chin Ups: 4 sets of 8

450 Squat PR 30lbs PR with much left in the tank. You cant see it but 3x 25kg, 1x15kg, 2.5kg per side and a 30kg bar.
With Steve Goggins and Sam Byrd both spotting there is no way any one could have not hit a PR.
