Red Bands Log

Hey everybody.

I started my cutting cycle with Red Bands yesturday. Like I promised, here is the workout log I will be keeping during the cycle.

My diet is going to consist of about 2400 cals, 200g’s of carbs, 250g’s of protein, and 70g’s of fat. This may change slightly.

After my three day break in period is up, I will be taking 2 capsules twice a day. The cycle should last almost six weeks.

Right now, I weigh 202lbs and have around 18% bodyfat. My goal by the end of the cycle is to be down around 12% bodyfat. After that, I will do an eight week bulking cycle while using Alpha Male and M. Which I will keep a log for as well.

I will include before and after pictures at the end of the six weeks.

I will update this log fairly often.

Why don’t you plan to use 4 capsules twice per day?

Isn’t the max recommended serving size 4 caps? Why the 2?

He is taking two caps because it is recommended to start off with two caps a day for three days before increasing to four caps.

Actually, he indicates that he’ll be taking 2 caps twice per day for his entire cycle.

The recommended dosage for Red Bands is one to four capsules twice per day.

I’m curious as to why he isn’t using the full recommended dosage to take advantage of the power of Red Bands.

Yes, I have used other supplements before.

Just basic stuff like protein poweder, MRP’s, flaxseed oil, fish oil, Surge, ZMA, Creatine, aswell as Tribex and M.

The reason why I have decided to only take two capsules twice a day is because two caps of Red Bands is way more powerful then two caps of Hot Rox. Therefore, I came to the conclusion that four caps a day would be plenty for what I’m trying to accomplish. I also called Biotest, and talked to them about my theory, and they said that two caps twice a day is plenty for most people. However, if I’m not seeing the results that I had hoped for after a couple weeks, then I will increase the dosage.

First update.

I have completed two day’s of Red Bands. One capsule twice a day. What I have noticed so far is an increase in energy, and I feel very warm. I will up the dose to two capsules twice per day on thursday.

If you don’t mind, I’ll chime in from time to time with my experience with Red Bands. I just started yesterday and have not noticed too much yet. I don’t know if I experienced the warm feeling yet because yesterday was a hot one and my office isn’t the most cool of places as I sit with the servers and they keep the room warm. I am doing the one pill twice a day today and tomorrow, then upping it to 2 pills twice a day. After three days on that I may up it again to 3 pills twice a day, but I haven’t decided for sure and want to see how I feel on it. I’ve lost about 20 lbs in the last 11 weeks or so as I recently got back into it after a 9 month layoff where I let myself go to shit.

I too started red bands just today. It seems like you don’t mind, so I will be posting my progess and feelings on it. My stats are: 6’0 204 14.5% bodyfat. Trying to get under 10% by end of august so I can go on a bulk once I get back to school.

Results after three days…

I’m down to 199 lbs, and vascularitly has increased ever so slightly. The veins in my arms are starting to show a little more. My girlfriend said she noticed a slight increase in my muscle definiton as well.

Pretty good for only three day’s.

I know it seems impossible, but can that be fat weight and not water weight? Please God, Please!!! I need my miracle pill!!

My water intake is very consistant, and I drink a little over a gallon a day.

What the heck… I guess I’ll jump in too. Well, with my experience so far, if not a log.

My Red Bands made it to Ontario. I got them on the 14th and had one Red Band starting that evening.

Prior to this I had spent a week doing very low carbs (30-60g/day) with over 200g protein/day and probably ~2500 kcal/day. Fish oil, flax oil and coconut oil are in regular use. So is fiber.

Heh, in case anyone is curious, I take about 50 pistachios and 3 85g cans of tuna to work each day and eat one can every couple hours (10, 12, 2) as well as breakfast before I leave (~8) and something when I get back home (~5). A food log is involved… :slight_smile:

Biotest isn’t offering Methoxy now so I bought some Methoxy loaded MRP locally when I started. I was starting to feel a bit flat and weak after the low carb week and was down from about 204 to 196 on the scale. I suspect it was mostly water weight due to carb and creatine depletion. As mentioned by others elsewhere, I sprinkle some cinnamon on my MRP’s since I dont get much by way of carbs to spike insulin.

I’m now taking a Red Band when I wake up, when I get home from work and after my workout (so some time before 9pm). I figure the muscles are hungry so lets liberate that fat and circulate it around post workout.

I find it hard to tell if I’m feeling hot more now than before. I might be mistaken but since I’m stuffing in protein all the time I often feel like I’m going anabolic and generating heat, as long as I stay hydrated. It could be my imagination but I’m telling myself its anabolic activity anyway! It could also be the MCT and cayenne pepper I add to most meals.

I’ve tested with Keto sticks, and I’m not aiming for a ketogenic diet, but I’ve dipped into trace levels of ketosis once or twice, but nothing like when I did a ketogenic diet when I was heavy and out of shape.

I do have some powerdrive in case my workouts get too flat and my willpower starts to sag. I’ve never used it before, but I’m holding out for if and when I really need it. I plan to stay on the outskirts of ketosis until the end of the month.

Anyway, after all that blather, the exciting part is that I pulled a new PR on my deadlift tonight. I was able to work up to four singles of 320 lbs. While nothing Herculean by any means, I am damn thrilled to be doing this while on a cutting phase.

I could be wrong, but it makes me feel that my hard earned muscles aren’t rapidly dwindling away on me. The mirror appears to agree with me so far as well. Hopefully I’ll have some good results and post up some pics once I’ve reinflated with some carbs in July.

So, back to Red Bands. I’m sitting here feeling pretty warm, it was a workout night and I had one. Also, with the strong PR and general workout today even while maintaining very low carbs, I’m sold. I don’t plan on taking more per day though unless I cut my calorie levels.

vroom: Don’t hold back on the powerdrive! DMAE seems to become more effective the LONGER you take it, and at only a little more than $0.50 a serving, it’s a supp you can use daily.
