One Man's RED BANDS Experiences

Hi All, I just thought I’d share my own experience thus far with RED BANDS and also hope for some comments and feedback.

I started taking 4 a day with my morning 2 cups of green tea (which I brew by the 3quart full with a $17 mr. coffee iced tea maker - probably one of my favorite possesions).

Anyway back to my experiences… I immediately that day or the next would experience a feeling of being EXTREMELY flush/red from the mid chest all the way up. It was very uncomfortable (I actually would say this is a credit to biotest engineering in a weird way). This morning I could not take it as it would leave me feeling red and flush the entire day and gave my skin a constant look of always having a tired/-sunburnt- look, I couldn’t take it any more and I skipped my dose this morning and felt terrible all day. I slept for 5 hours and woke up and now am begining to return to normal again. Unfortunately this is too great of an effect for me to bear out. I am taking a break for several days and may return to only 1 per day to start and then increase by 1 per week. I also noticed an increase in skin oil production, oily hair and acne.

Just my 2 cents

ps, this should not be viewed as criticism, if anything it is a testament to the integrity of the products biotest used.

i’m not exactly familiar with the ingredients in Red Bands, but with a past experience of taking an accidental dose of my dads niacin, the same thing happened to me, only it was my entire body that when flushed and itchy.

it seems that that may be the case.

Your body’s reaction to the supplement may have been caused by your dosing. It is strongly reccomended that you start by taking one capsul in the morning and one more six hours later. You started using the product with more than whats suggested. Remember Red Bands are alot more potent than HOT-ROX, don’t rush into things, slowly work your way up.

Take a look at the directions on the back of the bottle and try working your way up. I followed the directions and I don’t even notice the Red Bands then again everyone’s physiology is a little different.

I had a similar reaction to Hot-Rox, but mine wasn’t so severe that I couldn’t tough it out. However, I e-mailed Biotest customer service about it, and they replied that what I was experiencing was probably a sensitivity reaction to the niacin in the product, and that I should be okay as long as I always took it with food. I also noticed that I didn’t have a reaction every time; probably no more than ten times over the course of three months, and even then only for my morning dose (which maybe corroborates the empty-stomach theory).

Then again, do Red Bands even have niacin in them? I seem to recall reading the ingredients and not seeing it in there.

I guess everyone is different. I started out taking full dosage; 4 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. The only thing I felt was increase in energy but I do not know if this came from Alpha Male.
I am now on my 3rd week and no longer feel the increase in energy. I guess my body has gotten used to to it.
However, I feel that my appetite has been suppresed. If I wasn’t trying to eat every 2.5 hrs. I might not be eating anything.
Also, I have lost all cravings for sweets.
Overall, I think this supplment great and would recommend it to anyone who has their diet tuned in and wants to lose some extra pounds.

if all else fails follow the instructions.lol

Being impatient I started with 2 for both doses on the first day and then went right to 4 per dose twice a day.

I occasionally notice being warmer than normal, and I tend to sweat more freely when I get over heated.

I haven’t noticed any physical effects except reduced appetite and increased sweating. No redness in the skin or flushing.

I notice that I sweat more than I used to on 3 caps twice a day, and also that I am overall let tolerant to heat…meaning I get hot faster. I also, like whenever I am on a diet pill, am hungry pretty much all the time. I just deal with it.

Hi Guys. Someone mentioned a reaction to niacin – I looked at the back of the bottle and I found no niacin listed, it appears to have been removed so we can rule that out. Another person mentioned the dosing, I started out at one dose per day only not two and the effects I am speaking of were more of a chronic state that persisted whether at night or morning, not an acute 20 minute reaction to the supplement.

Silly question… but is there some episode in your past related to these symptoms. For example, there are fat soluble substances that are stored in our lipids, possibly for years, that we have to metabolize later.

I guess an obvious example might be LSD and flashbacks – not that I’m suggesting this is the case here.

Just some confirmation here–RED BANDS does not contain niacin.

HOT-ROX does, but it’s a very small amount–not enough to cause the flushing that’s characteristic of niacin.

And yes, please use the recommended doses of RED BANDS.

Vroom, thats a very interesting theory, can you provide more info on it? That would be interesting to see if I can eventually “sweat” this out of my system.

Here is a page that gives a bit of information… such as possible symptoms.

I’m sure some time spent on Google could yield more informative material. If you’ve never done anything that could provide flashbacks, then I’d have no idea what the issue might be.

I’m just now starting my second bottle. I to have noticed a major reduction in my appetite which sucks because I have a hard time choking down whatever protein source I’m eating for that particular meal. I dont notice to much more than that other than the fact my love handles seem to be dissapearing.
