Realistic Weight Target?

I’m 54,5’9’',234 lb.,and possess a 48-inch chest(51 in-
ches expanded),a 45-inch waist and 17 and-one-half inch
biceps.Though I don’t work out,as a diabetic I need to
drop weight.Could some of you boys give me a weight tar-
get for which to shoot?

Well sir, I’m your height, a few years younger, a 32" waist, and I’m just under 200. But I’ve been lifting for several years, and weighed 160 when I started. What does your doctor tell you? Give yourself a realistic target to start with, say drop 20-30lbs. Best of luck sir, you’ve come to the right place for the info you seek on nutrition.

I wouldn’t worry about your weight, get your waist down into the mid 30s. You will probably drop 30lbs in the process.

Edit: I see you asked the same question a week ago on the over 35 forum. You were given good advise there. It would be polite to at least acknowledge their advice.

Increase your protein, decrease your carbs and eat low GI carbs at that.

Are you T1 or T2?
