can someone pm or post link to where i can purchase/find this diet??
The fact you are asking for a PM means that you are asking publicly on a forum for someone to send you a link so you can download it for FREE.

Grow a pair and invest a little in yourself.

You can BUY it.
If I misjudged you then I apologize.

But Dr. Cox quotes are somewhat outdated.

i don’t thin kth emods will let me link the website, but just google the authors name and title, and you should get a result leading you to his own website where you can buy it.

It is the only place to get it, AFAIK

For the guys just starting on the diet:
Take measurements - the V-Diet section on this site has a great list of where to measure everything to track progress.

Take pictures once a week, same day and time.

The scale is almost useless at first to calculate fat loss. some of you, especially the higher bf % guys, are probably gonna drop, oh, 10 pounds by weds?

Oh yeah, if you can, throw out ALL the food you are not allowed to eat while on the diet. Unless you have great willpower you will probably attack it in a fit of hunger at some point.

this is very true. I threw away or gave away the junk food that was in my kitchen and it’s helped a lot not having it laying around. I was at a friends house who has kids and they had quite a bit of “snacks” for their kids and it was hell watching them eat popcorn and have almond roccas while I was thinking about the delicious can of tuna waiting for me at home.

I think measurements and visuals (I.E. Pictures and what you see in the mirror) are your eat indicators of how well you’re progressing unless you’re trying to make a weight class for a sport

start of day 9…

How’s your progress coming? For whatever reason I feel like I look worse this week than I did last week. Not sure why. I’ll only be able to check my scale weight on Thursday, so we’ll know if anything funky is going on then. Gonna dial up the cardio this week and lower my rest periods in my workout to see if I can speed things up a little … Florida next Friday!!

I rocked this diet for a month and 1 week prior to christmas and lost 19.842 lbs, with the last week being a low carb protein powder only affair and having also been low carbing/carb cycling for the two months previous.
Out of the 19.842 lost over all, about 13 lbs of it came off in the last month on the rapid fat loss.
I kept my fish oil intake moderately high (fluctuating between 4 and 8 grams per day) and I tried hard to keep my fibre intake adequate.

If it means anything, I usually find it a right c*^#t to shed fat.

That’s f’n awesome!

Well boys, I am officially on board. Day 1 done. I am borderline CatII at about 24-25% at 144 lbs. I seriously packed on some fat since September, hopefully some freaking muscle as well. Figured it would be better to start here than a CatI. Will switch catagories if needed, will see how it goes.

B: 1.25c of egg whites with spinach and curry powder (oh yeah!)
L: Can of tuna on greens with lemon juice and balsamic vin.
D: 5oz chicken and asparagus
S: Casein shake

4 caps of high potency fish oil (over 400mg per cap of EPA) will increase dose to 6 shortly. Plus all the other rec. supps.

Don’t think I am going to do the EC unless I get stuck. I really don’t like stims.

No training today. Nothing else to report.
welcome aboard! Lol… Did you take pics and measurements or just weight? Good luck and I’m looking forward to hearing about your progress

.greg.
Oh yeah, got pics and measurements… the works. Gotta say, nothing brings you back to reality like pics in a swimsuit in January. :shudder:

Stepped on the scale this morning and down 3lbs, gee think it’s because I pissed like 1000 times yesterday?! I am a little tired this morning and managed to oversleep. This could also be because it is rather overcast today as it is supposed to snow later.

Not really feeling this whole ‘black coffee’ thing…meh I’ll live. I am rather fond of this fat free cheese on the egg white omlette thing though

Enjoy your day folks, and step away from the twinkies

I haven’t weighed myself since starting the diet but I know what you mean. I kinda feel like I looked my best Sunday morning (morning of day 7) and now I kinda feel skinny fat. I read about that in the old RFL vs V -Diet thread and people had said the same thing but said after they carbed up they looked better and actually peaked a few days after ending the diet so we’ll see.

I’m thinking about hitting up a little more cardio as well just to see if that helpsReggiereg.

good luck robilyn. If you’ve done the V-Diet already I’m sure you’ll have no problems with this one actually eating whole foods

.greg.

thanks  the hardest thing is gonna be the black coffee so im with ya docL wonder if splenda and SF creamer would be ok LOL

i too am cat2… and bikinis and january just dont mix…

Spent about 2 hours yesterday and 30 minutes today reading the original 17-page RFL thread and this thread. Good stuff.

I just started my second bout on the V-Diet (did it for the first time last March with great results). I plan on finishing this by the end of February (2/28 to be exact), eating @ maintenance for 2-6 weeks, and then hopping on RFL for 4-6 weeks before I graduate from college (gotta look good for my grad photos and post-college adventures).

Keep up the good work everyone!

I don’t think the splenda will be an issue, I use it in my coffee. If you are worried about the maltodextrin in the splenda switch to the new one that has “fiber” instead.

I would consider using a little creamer, but I just drink too much damn coffee. I can easily rack up 150+cals in half and half in no time! I should probably just switch to tea as I like it without creamer.

wow, this thread grew!! awesome!!

I feel like Im the poster girl for this diet ,

If anyone is left I will be joining you all in another month or two…for now I have been maintaining my losses(not even one oz gained, or lost for that matter!) But I want to get rid of the last 10-15 once and for all…and by warm weather season no doubt!

You all are doing great!!

Don’t sweat the small stuff…tbh I didn’t follow things to the ‘T.’
Being in such a big deficit, a little creamer isn’t going to hurt…just don’t tell the man himself that

Greg- I cant believe you haven’t weighed yourself! I weighed in daily, just to see how foods/water affected my weight…kinda like a science experiment!

MIM, as one of the original RFLers you pretty much are the poster girl for this diet. This thread really has grown. At first I didn’t think that it was really gonna go that far but I was wrong.

Kinda struggling today. Its been a combination of a few things. I felt a little tired all day and this damn rain really sucks the life out of me. Its not supposed to rain all day long and be grey down here in San Diego. WTF! Now theres some BS stuff going on with work which is kind of stressing me out cause I need some days off next month and I don’t know if I’ll get em… sorry just kinda rambling on.

Im gonna get out and brave my way through this monsoon outside and head to the gym for some cardio. Maybe that’ll make me feel better

Yeah I havent weighed myself cause Im not really shooting for a number or pounds lost. I care more about how I look naked then what my scale weight says… so when I get out of bed in the morning and before I put some clothes on I take a look in the mirror and see how I look… thats my “scale” (sorry if thats TMI)

.greg.

Monster lo-carb! and then a nap later, lol.

I take it you are talking about the section in that thread where they talk how your fat is more “squishy” cos it has nothing holding it together? lol.

Yeah, I read that too, kinda what I am basing it on. Plus I am now getting into that stubborn lower ab fat that is a BITCH to get rid of.

Next weigh-in: Thurs during my second lifting session of the week. Training tonight with the rugby team, but its at the sister facility to my normal gym, so not the same scale.

Ren- try having a couple kids! I know all about that ‘stubborn lower ab fat.’ haha

Are you all making sure to incorporate re-feeds or are you just having free meals?

I may start this sooner than later…I’ve been off the diet for a little over a month now…and while Im not obsessed with losing the last amount, I’d like to get it over with…

I’m having fun eating and training hard tho, and learning how to maintain…I think maintainence is the ultimate challenge…same habits different day, kinda thing… the cool thing, even while I was on the RFL, is that I didn’t track my foods or count calories, etc…even in maintainence land!! Its pretty cool

Can I get someone to post a link to the 17 pg Rapid Fat Loss vs Velocity Diet thread. I was able to search it yesterday on a different computer but for the life of me I can’t seem to find it using the search function today! Thanks.
