Rapid Fat Loss

Lyle recommends 15-20g of carbs in a workout if you are having trouble with performance in your workout. He covers that in the book.

fish oil is 6-10g, so take the number of pills accordingly. I use a grocery store brand and take 6 myself.

Jandek: are you taking a multi-vitamin as well? Just wanted to make sure. You can try to make sure you get a minimum of 8 hours sleep.

8 lbs in 6 days, some fat, some water and glycogen. Watch how your scale changes during week 2 as you should be carb and glycogen depleted by then. That will give you a better idea of your fat loss.

I do feel lethargic at times, I have some lo-carb monster on standby in case I feel beat the fuck down.

You never answered how much lifting and/or cardio you are doing? As that could have a big impact on your recovery.

The other thing is just to double check what you are eating. Make sure you aren’t eating “carby” veggies and protein sources with too much fat. As that could cause you to feel a little off.

You could try taking an adaptogen, like Rhodiola Rosea and see if that helps you cope better. As cat 3 you are forcing your body to undergo some serious changes, and the adaptogen might help. I am taking it myself along with HOT-ROX.
as far as workouts go, I’ve done 3 x 30 min cardio sessions on an eliptical trainer and 3x anaerobic training this week (I’m a newbie in the weight lifting category)

My diet basically looks like this with little to no daily variation:

breakfast: 4 egg whites
1 slice fat free cheese
1 head of broccoli

lunch: 4 oz chicken breast (I have a scale)
1 cup cucumber or broccoli

snack: 1 cup fat free cottage cheese
a handful of celery

dinner: 4 0z Salmon or lean cut of steak
1 head of broccoli

I’m supplementing with a multivitamin, 3 grams fishoil (but now i will up it to at least 6), and last night I added psyllium husk into the routine.

I’ve also been drinking a scoops worth of Metabolic Drive after workouts, but now I’m wondering if I’m adding too many carbs with that addition?
You may want to add more veggies to keep you feeling full I am a Cat.1 and am taking in a lot more greens than that, what is your daily Protein intake and what was recommended? I have helped a few people with the diet and they usually take in the minimum in hopes of losing fat faster, at the cost of feeling like crap.

the gatorade i got was the G2 stuff (which is basically half gatorade half water so the bottle only has 17 grams of carbs in it) I didnt use it on my first lifting session but I did on my second. I might have a gatorade tomorrow during my workout but im not sure. Just made/ate a huge “fajita salad” for dinner which was awesome!

yeah salts been my number one seasoning as well. I’ve been using different colored bell peppers, onion, and garlic as flavoring for my pan cooked meats (not the stuff I BBQ) and its good.

The fact you are asking for a PM means that you are asking publicly on a forum for someone to send you a link so you can download it for FREE.

Grow a pair and invest a little in yourself.

You can BUY it.

I pm’ed you a link where you can buy the book for the diet. Forum rules don’t allow me to post the link directly here.

I didn’t know about not posting the link but that makes sense. Hopefully the link Ren PMed you is helpful. Starting week two today and gonna head to the gym soon.

hey Ren is that you in your avatar? I know you said you play rugby so I wasn’t sure if that was you or someone from the New Zealand national team or something?

It’s Pieter Rossouw, who used to play for the Western Stormers and Western Province in South Africa. I’m originally from Cape Town and he was one of my idols growing up.

Day 5, category 1, but I kinda combined it with GSD… RFL has me eating like 800 calories of protein, instead I’m taking in 1000 calories and adding some healthy fats… 6g fish oil, 3g CLA… and yohimbe

Just moved, no access to a scale

ok just got back from the gym and I did not have the energy level that I wanted. I also forgot my log book as I rushed out the door this morning so heres the highlights

(working sets)

warm up, mobility and dynamic stretching

Squat: 6 x 275, 6 x 275, 3 x 315 (felt really tired after the second at 275 but wanted to try the 3 plates anyway)
Bench: 6 x 225, 5 x 275
Dips: 2 x 10 w/ a 50 lb dumbbell
Face pulls: 2 x 10 @ 210lb

My hips and hamstrings were feeling very tight/sore from the pick up football game saturday. I did some straight leg deadlifts with the 50lb dumbbells that felt good. I did some accessory stuff for arms, shoulders, abs, and low back but after squatting and benching I was pretty wiped out for the rest of the workout. Definitely had to push the barbell dead lifts till the next workout. Probably wednesday that’ll be my main focus.

Lyle recommends in his book 6-10g fish oil a day along with a few other things. I’m probably getting a little over a 1,000 calories a day from protein. Or right around there. I started at the high end of Lyle’s recommended protein intake but now I’m in the middle.

I rocked this diet for a month and 1 week prior to christmas and lost 19.842 lbs, with the last week being a low carb protein powder only affair and having also been low carbing/carb cycling for the two months previous.
Out of the 19.842 lost over all, about 13 lbs of it came off in the last month on the rapid fat loss.
I kept my fish oil intake moderately high (fluctuating between 4 and 8 grams per day) and I tried hard to keep my fibre intake adequate.

If it means anything, I usually find it a right c*^#t to shed fat.

what is this diet yall are talking about?

That’s f’n awesome!

Well boys, I am officially on board. Day 1 done. I am borderline CatII at about 24-25% at 144 lbs. I seriously packed on some fat since September, hopefully some freaking muscle as well. Figured it would be better to start here than a CatI. Will switch catagories if needed, will see how it goes.

B: 1.25c of egg whites with spinach and curry powder (oh yeah!)
L: Can of tuna on greens with lemon juice and balsamic vin.
D: 5oz chicken and asparagus
S: Casein shake

4 caps of high potency fish oil (over 400mg per cap of EPA) will increase dose to 6 shortly. Plus all the other rec. supps.

Don’t think I am going to do the EC unless I get stuck. I really don’t like stims.

No training today. Nothing else to report.

Settle down there francis. I am looking to purchase the ebook but need to know where to find it.
