so your really just doing shakes??

Chim- I’m going for 3-4 weeks or 10lbs…whichever happens first! ya, accept for training days, I normally don’t eat til lunch time!

Measurements/weight in the morning!!
No not JUST shakes but I’m adding them in (pre and post workout a bit) besides that shakes I’m doing the regular RFL diet.

Just went to the gym and weighed in. Yesterday I was 212 and today I was 205.5!?! What the H? How is that even possible in one day of the diet lol. Last time I weighed myself on the first and last day so I never checked out any weight fluctuations… I’m just gonna chalk it up to that for now.

.greg.
Yeah its possible, but mostly water. Hang in there buck-o, you’ll lose that belly fat yet !
hahah yeah thanks. Its so weird though. Probably just all water weight cause I do drink a lot of water every day… plus I played basketball for an hour and a half yetsterday… my shirt was soaked lol

hmph, lucky you!

I haven’t lost a single oz this week, not even water…I don’t think this diet is my friend anymore. It did it’s job when I was overweight…I’d rather torcher myself with cardio even if it meant the last 10 would come off slower.
Yeah maybe its just wearing on you a little bit mentally? You might have to just go with a more moderate approach since its only the last 10 lbs. Have you tried fasted morning cardio? When I was at my leanest I was getting up every morning and running three miles before breakfast. I got pretty ripped up and I wasnt even really “dieting” i was just eating good, doing my morning 3 miles and then my regular lifting in the afternoons. I know some people dont like the morning fasted cardio thing but I personally saw good results with it. just my opinion

.greg.

Heck ya… this diet is rough mentally…but today is only the 5th day, lol… And I had to psych myself up for a good while before even deciding to do it again.

To be honest I haven’t really done cardio consistently through my whole weight loss journey. I train circuit style mainly, or at least little rest between exercises/sets.

Day 5 and I’ve lost 12 or so pounds. Obviously there’s water and glycogen involved but I’ve also lost 2 inches around the waist. I feel like I’m… losing fat rapidly (badump tss).

Also, MiMD, good luck if you decided to stick with it!

wow!! Good motivation right, Chimera?! Thats awesome…

And thanks… I’ve been making moderate progress on my own, body comp wise. I’m still losing inches, I’m getting leaner, etc. Fuck the scale anyway  Well, not literally, but you know what I mean! haha

yeah scale weight is overrated unless its for a sport with weight classes. Its all about the mirror and how your clothes fit

Thanks! How’s your modified version going?

Apologies if you’ve answered it, but what’s your training like?

My training right now or before the diet?

Before: I was doing 531 for a little while but stopped a few weeks ago when I hurt my neck. I’ve been getting back in the gym a bit since then but working on a little more power/explosiveness because I’m working on being able to dunk. Lately I’ve been thinking about trying out Big Beyond Belief… I respond better (size wise) to more volume so I’m thinking that would be a cool program to try out.

Now: I’m just doing what the book says. Fullbody high weight low reps stuff. Plus the basketball yesterday for some fun/cardio… but mostly for fun

I’d recommend big beyond belief, I saw pretty damn good results on that program till I dislocated my shoulder playing rugby. I hit 365x12 on the DL, which I haven’t been able to do again.

Thanks for the info, I’m not following the program in the book because I would hate to drop my frequency that low. I might have to change it up the longer I’m on the diet, but we’ll see.

Yeah Im not a big fan of lifting 2 (maaaaaaaybe 3) times a week but when you’re running cat 1 you really dont have the energy to do more after the first couple days. The fat loss really comes from the restricted calories and not the working out but I definitely know what you mean.

I read through the BBB thread and I got pretty excited about it. I’m looking forward to it.

True, I’d forgotten that you’re a cat1. I have a bit(lot) more fat for the energy.

Well looks like I’m hopping on the wagon for this. I’m category 1 running this for the next 12 days, currently 189 at 5’8" (9.1% bodyfat) and looking to get in the 6% range after 2 cycles of this or so. I get 300g protein a day and I’ll probably fill myself up with some sort of spinach salad concoction that I’ll have to think up for veggies and keeping me full. All said and done expecting to be around 1400 calories or so. I’m just going to eat the same meals every day because that’s what I’ve found is easiest for me when dieting down. Starting tomorrow. Oh joy.

Its a good program, you gotta eat like a MF to keep up with the recovery.

^^Yeah thats what I’m thinking. I guess I’ll end my RFL now… I think it probably would defeat the purpose of doing this diet if i’m just going to jump into BBB next and eat everything I can get my hands on… plus It’s really nice out and I think I’m meeting some girls for some drinks at the beach  oh well… 3 days and went from 212 to 208 (today)

I’ll be checking in to give encouragement

.greg.

ok I cant find my before photo? I think I might have accidentilly deleted it but heres my after? (if you can even call it that after 3 days lol. 212 started to 208(with shoes on)

.greg.

Man the headaches are really annoying today, not bad but persistent. Hopefully that goes away.
