My new summer goal is to be able to dunk. I feel like if I can drop like 5-8lbs It would help me jump higher (less weight to hoist up there)
Thats what my thinking is… But i havent decided yet so thats why I’m thinking about it

RFL for dunking, you should email that to Lyle.
You should do it, I want to see someone tracking their quest into the mid-single digits.

hahahaha Yeah I bet he’d get a kick out of it lol. I just wanna be able to dunk so bad! its not easy when you’re a 5’11" white guy lol

As a 5’11" white guy myself, I’m lucky to graze the net.
yep i gotta do something … this half-assing it just isnt doing me any good…
day 1 starts in the morning gotta refresh my brain on the dos and donts
ive tried so much or attempted so manys diets i just gotta stick it out!
I can’t picture doing this diet ever again. And I’m the guy who started the first RFL thread and promote it to anyone I know who wants to lose weight fast.
ya, Brick…actually I have you to thank! I had never heard of the RFL and I was at a place where I was just FED UP! read the the first thread, and BINGO! This diet sucks so hard, but its not forever and, er, its Rapid
Robilyn- fwiw, you look great as is…how much more are trying to lose?
Day 1 starts for me tomorrow too…does this mean I can go have a bowl of fruit now? please? I already cut it out since last week, accept I had some over the weekend.

I gotta give credit to Brick, his thread RFL vs V-Diet is what got me interested in this. I’ve just done my best to keep it going because of the success I’ve had with it.
As for another round, I’m pretty lean right now I don’t need anything that drastic. It may sound easy on paper but halfway through the 2nd week as a cat 1 , I was miserable. I try to turn anyone on to it that has over 10 pounds to lose, under that and you’d be better served by a more moderate approach.
Good luck to everyone on it, I’ll do my best to help.
Since the last time I did it in January or February of this year (forgot the exact month I did it for), I’ve lost even more weight with a more moderate approach to dieting and running a great deal. But then again, my training goals and objectives have changed SO drastically in the past year also.
Ok, as a long-term CKD fan I think I am going to give this diet a go in a bid to shed a few extra lbs of flab for the beach!
I will qualify this from the off and state I am not a huge fan of the workouts suggested by Lyle and will therefore modify the depletion sessions accordngly. I will update you on the progress.

Depletion workouts aren’t even discussed in the RFL book. It’s advised to do two full body sessions with one exercise per bodypart for a few sets of 6 to 8 reps. Some people might want to start the diet with high reps to enhance fatty acid mobilization.
I kept my muscle mass with the most basic workouts.
Day 1
Speed exercise for upper body
Squat
Single legged deadlifts
Lat pulldown or chinup
Lateral raise or overhead press
Abs
Bicep exercise
Day 2
Speed exercise for lower body
Deadlift or GHR
Lunges
Dumbbell bench press
Dumbbell row (cable or dumbbell)
Abs
Tricep exercise
I was really hungry/lazy yesterday and didnt feel like cooking so I put two cans of albacore into a big bowl with a couple scoops of salsa and ate that as my lunch… half way through I was like “ughhhhh…” hahahaha second guessing doing the RFL again after that lol
