Squatted 465 last night. Going for 500+ pull this week.

Hit a solid 405 squat tonight - Belt only. Then went on to hit 420 with wraps, need more work at heavier lbs…the 420 felt like a ton on my back!!

Had a meet last Saturday. Pulled 451 pretty easy. Went for 481 and it got stuck on my knee. Back to the drawing board.

Hit 425 squatting last week, but dl went down to 385.

Used straps for this, 455. 480 stuck just below the knees. Squat is a million miles away though.

Hurt lower back on Saturday dead lifting. I was way out in front of the bar. I have to work on getting my chest up. Very frustrating.

It doesn’t work for everyone but I used to walk out 70-90lbs more than I was going to squat and get tight for a beat and then walk it back in. Then drop the weight down to my max attempt and it would always feel a hell of a lot lighter and more confident on my back. Works better for high rep squat work I’ve found but I’ve had some success with it on max attempts. Nice work on the pull man 500 is a serious step.

Got 370 for 10 today on deadlifts. Had I known one more woulda put my estimated max over 500, I would have tried to squeeze it out.

I just missed the DL yesterday. I got it to my knees and it started to twist. I lost my grip with my left hand. I have my first meet in two weeks. I think I might try again at that time.

Hit 455 for squat today (PR). Went for 475 and got pinned. DL has come up too, was able to get 475x5 (strapped) on my last cycle of 5/3/1. Definitely need to work on my grip.

I nailed a 502 DL at my meet last week. Now onto 600 for both my squat and deadlift.

I was able to get 495 DL (PR) last night (w/straps) but I felt that my form was horrible when attempting to get it up, lower back was rounding. I did 485 just before and my form was pretty decent. Should I continue to work singles with 485 until it becomes easy before I try 495 again? I just started throwing in some singles into my routine.
