Somewhere between 105 and 110 at 195cm(6’5). Very off and on in the weight room but have been pretty consistent for the last two months and the squat has been rising so hopefully it keeps going that way. When is your next max supposed to be?
Can I be in this race even if my Squat is only 165 and my DL is around 215?
Unless someone wants to start a race to 250 thead…
2busy? Cavalier?
If I start a 250 thread I’ll be the only one posting in it, LOl.
Not much of a race! The tortoise and the rock…
I’ve already deadlifted over 250, but haven’t squatted that much yet. Have my sights on it though.
Are you assuming us old geezers must be weaker than the whippersnappers?
Sure you can join. Those numbers go up pretty quickly initially anyways.
Americaninsweden - Im on the 5 week at the moemnt. Squatted 115x10 yesterday. I wont do a 1RM for another cycle or so yet.
I’ve managed to lift 140 as many times as I’ve failed on it. 2 of each.
I am honestly not sure if I could bang out a set of 10 at 115 that sounds miserable. Anything above 6 reps makes me sad. I enjoy maxing (esp squats), its part of the reason I can never commit to a squat program because of the length of time between max attempts.
Squatting today not sure if I will FS also. No idea what my rep range is going to be like either. Shooting for 30ish reps at 100 or more.

GODAMMIT! #$#@! Err, I mean, ya, good job and whatnot.
Where are all the crappy people for me to race with? ![]()
Hold on Spock, it may take me a while. You might catch up.
Today did deadlifts, went for medium reps:
135 x 12
185 x 6
245 x 3 . didn’t expect that, probably went up weight a bit too quickly
235 x 5 . x 5 . x 5
oh, ow. I haven’t felt this beat up since I did Sheiko. Better eat a lot and get a ton of sleep.
Update on me:
Squat: 275x3
Deadlift: 295x3
Videos refer to my log.

Wonderful! Racing is much more exciting when everyone isn’t lapping you, ha!
My update, uhh, squatted 170 for 2 sets of 2 the other day. FELT GOOD BRO’S!
Deadlifting today…
Squat 260x3. Will do 265x3 Friday. On track to 315x1 first week or two in June, depending how long I take for rest after Max DL
Hey I wanna join in this race!
My deadlift max is 295 x 1.
Squat, down know yet. My crappy college gym will get a power rack next week so I’ll start doing them.
Been lifting for almost two months now.
Here is the deadlift session with the 295:

Your body tyepe looks like one where your squat and deadlift are going to be at similar values. You look like you are having to bend your legs quite alot to grasp the bar.
My DL starting position is more like a half or quarter squat almost.
Makes you wonder about people’s different skeletons and how adding a few inches here and subtracting a few inches there would effect the poundages being used on different lifts and the ease and explosiveness you can exhibit on certain movements.
I keep thinking about how everything comes back to plain old leg strength. For some reason i can think of only a couple times where i would fail a deadlift partway up. For me it either goes all the way up, or it doesnt leave the ground. Leg drive is needed to get the weight off the ground.
Yes I have to bend my knees a lot to even reach the bar. My feet are as wide as possible and I still have bend my knees this much.
Super long torso with short arms and legs makes it awkward to deadlift. We’ll see soon enough how my squat will compare to the deadlift…
Got 315 pull. No video though. Next up is squat, 275x3 right now, hopefully get it done before June.

i got the 315 dl today out of nowhere. havent dled for a while. guess squatting helped enough. i forgot to record will get a vid up next week
Squatted 185 for 5, several sets, not too hard. This puts my squat well past 200. Getting there . . .
