Race to 315 Squat/Deadlift

Went 140x1 tonight and split my shorts.

Thats 3 plates in metric. But only 308#. So, did I make it… Or am I going to have to squat the 143kg to make it count?

143kg it is![/quote]

Your right its 308.

Conversion rate technically is 1 kilos to 2.204 pounds. However a lot of people convert is as 2.25.

Thats why 140 to some comes out as 315 (140 x 2.25), and others 308 (140 x 2.204).

So for me, you made it. Good work.

Short splitting is awesome! I’ve split like 4 pairs of pants since I started this squatting program and stopped leg pressing.

LOL, how do you split your shorts? Sometimes I feel like my quads are going to split my work slacks but shorts, that’s doing something.

lol

Pulled 325 for an easy 5 today, first time every pulling ‘heavy’ in a conventional stance DL (done it with sumo before), so I DID IT!!!

Grats Spidey! Hows the squat comin’?

I hit 235 ATG for 5 hard reps today, but still did 'em! Will bump up to 245 on Friday.

It’s coming. lol. Just hit 275 for a relatively easy single Saturday, feel like 285 would have been easy. Hopefully 315 is right around the corner!

Keep up the good work yourself, man. You’ll have 315 within a month or two by the looks of it

Hit 135kg (297) atg after doing 120, 125, 130 in my workout but missed 140 (308) squat. Hoping late next week I can hit 140 and by the end of March 145 goes up. Squatting every other day currently. What programs are working best for you guys? Currently I am just doing my own thing. Usually one day of working up to my max then 20 to 30 back off sets. Then the next day with triples and doubles. Seems to be working for now.

320 x 5 today on Deadlifts.

That’s awesome, great job.

Today I got a solid 3 reps at 305 on the back squat. I could’ve pushed for 315 and probably got it but my back was a little iffy and I don’t have my belt yet. I’ll try again in two weeks probably.

Anybody use WS4SB 3? I needed a change of pace and so far I really like the programming with it. Bulgarian Split Squats suck. LOL

315x1 today, gunna upload a video soon, EASY.
275x5 squat, gunna have the squat in 2 weeks probably.

At 155lbs bodyweight. x2 bw dl

Great work on the deadlift. could probably try and keep your back a little tighter, but for a ‘max’ effort was fairly solid.

I have my squat day today 115kg (253lbs) for 1 reps, will check back in later with how many reps i got. hoping for 6

Thank you, I plan on resetting the weight back 30lbs and working back up with a straight back, because my upper back can’t stay straight with 315.
Good luck with your squat!

Good idea, i like to feel that i lock my lats when i deadlift, helps me keep tight.
I hit the 6 reps i was aiming for, but i felt very heavy, after the first rep i wasn’t sure if i was going to get 4 haha. in to deload week next week that back to some biger numbers the week after, i am looking forward to it!

hit 265x5 too easy on deadlifts today and 255x5 pretty easy on squats on tuesday

Gratz on the single.

Good Mornings and get some more upper back work in, you’ll be fine.

Thanks. I plan on eventually incorporating power cleans… should help me with power off the floor, and I’m doing a lot of pullups, I hope that helps.

Deadlifted 221 for an easy 10 hurting like a mother. The weights are moving easier every week.

Dave Tate has a DL video and I believe he said that there’s no correlation between the two lifts but who knows I guess. Aside from things like the GM and RDL, Front Squats could be a good assistance lift for you too.
