Race for Plates!

35s? Yes ma’am!
Although MerrySailor said she got it last week(?) I would give the win to her if she can produce a vid, I know you’ve been sick so you might not be ready again. We could just save the victory for the 45s if you all want?

Here is 110 for form, it’s better here than in the 115 vid if anyone wants to offer criticism this is a better representative of my form except no leg drive today.:-/

Here is the 115, I would have been happy with the one but was not sure it touched so I did a second and that one touched but just barely. Yeah boobies!!!

MS, Hal, TR ready for the 45s? 0_o

Oh and I must be all proud as I am posting a vid of a lift that highlights my most disliked feature(chubby belly). Ha who cares! 10 lbs PR!!!

Get it get it girl! My bench SUCKED yesterday. SUCKED. First day back and all. Boo. Good work going on there. Awesometastic. Good motivation…

Fantastic! I’m seething with envy!!!

Awesome work Charlie!

Had every intention of lifting hard tonight.

Went sledding all day instead!!!hehhhehe

You want to talk about an intense cardo work out!!!
Riding on one knee changing your weight from side to side…acceleration, break, change right leg then left lean for four hrs. I think I did work out after all. heheeh

Great work CH I will catch up to you!!!

I love your encouragement

CH! Fucking stud.

I pulled 205 max week yesterday… 215 next… Need mine two plates before I get too deep onto this cut.

Way to kill girls ya both beat me to the 35’s… Ima pop up an Avi in ur honor! I might have to replace it Monday when I lose my clean eating comp with 2b and Leena LOL.

CH… I’m coming for you on those 45’s!
Hallowed… Your avi makes me tingly in all the right places

Thanks ladies!

I got the idea for the thread because of the challenge threads in GAL, which I am not really at a strength level to compete in. Ha ha

To Hal: Have you thought about trying heavy singles for your next 5/3/1 day so you can try and see if you can get the 225 before you get to into the diet stuff?

That’s what I plan on doing.

Also when you pulled your lat were you doing conventional dls or sumos?

Photo so it happened over and over.

Sumo DL 3sets 5reps each! Pulled 265lbs
Six singles at 275lbs.

Was benching 85lbs now up to 95 for 3 reps.

Thanks again thanks again gals…You all look so good!!!

I wana be you when I grow up.LOL

Video of the BP

See my weak spot in mid push. Gotta work on my Triceps more.

Loved the last part “There!” I did not even know I said it. LOL

I would try heavy singles if I knew how!

The LAT was sympathy from the floor but I was telling with the dec plates and it set wrong between reps. I then made it worse with heavy romanians ignoring the injury. Dumb! I only DL at the gym that has old school round plates now.

I do my heavy singles on 5/3/1 day(so once a month) by only doing the 1 rep for the 1 even if I could do more(I probably could do more and still do the heavy singles but I wanted to save myself), then just add either 5 or 10 lbs to the bar after the 1 and try to pull or push it for 1 rep then keep going up by 5 or 10 like trying to figure out your 1 RM.

I like these for the lowerbody stuff mainly because I can’t seem to do lots of reps within a set, I get winded with high rep sets so how much I can do for 1 is not always indicated by how many reps I can do for a lower weight.

My upperbody lifts seem to match more closely though, they don’t get me winded like squats and dls.

To TR: Nice benching definitely more to come. And really nice numbers on the dl, the strong back pic definitely matches the numbers.

There were some articles here about getting past sticking points with partial reps(Starting the lift from your sticking point) I know I need to look into that for my OH press.

If I find the article I’ll post a link.

I’m going for 215 and 225 in the next three weeks.

Come get me gorl.

It’s going to take me at least two months to work up to where I could be in the 2plate DL competition :frowning: Fuck school.

Anyway, if this is still happening by the end of April, I’m back in.

Push mentioned your weight in a sama thread. 145?

If so, that means you are about 15 away from a 2x BW dl! Nice! With 6 singles of 275 I bet you are closer than that even. Get it!

Thanks Greenie!

Will you be stepping in and competing in any of the plate races?
