Race for Plates!

ok just got back from the gym! man did I have a great lift night!

PR Sumo DL 275 3 singles.

Went on to do my upper body. CH you inspired me tonight. BP 3 sets 105 5 reps.

Thanks again CH… I am having fun with you girls.

So if we win we get to assign the other competitor’s avi’s for a week? I’m down.

Yeah I like the race threads it can be a nice bit of a boost for training.

Too Oleena: well Hallowed and MS and I have agreed to put I <3 winner’s name in our current avi but if you are in a race with someone you can agree on whatever prize you want.

That sounds good to me. I’m in the race for the 225 dead. Now that I’ll be able to lift in my livingroom, I’ll go for the race to the 135 push press as well.

Well I’ll be doing heavy singles in the push press next week, not saying I’ll get 135 though, not even sure I can repeat 115, the pp is a funny thing sometimes.

Going for 90Lbs OHP next week… Cycle after that try my 95. Girls that are racing for the quarters on OHP be advised. Three weeks.

I’ve never tried to max out on the push-press. Two years ago when I was training all the time (before the year down-time), I was going clean and presses at 105lbs for 6 reps. It’ll be interesting to see what I can do with this one.

Going for 90LB OHP tomorrow… I did 85x5 last time… Should I be eskeered?

That’s always hard to say with the OH press and the bench, it seems like if you can do one weight for 5 reps then you should be doing 5lbs more for at least 1 maybe 2 reps. :-/

Just a side note- I think it’d be ideal to have videos of the winning lifts posted in this thread.

I am going to try to test vie the OHP today its not.the winning lift but its my max this cycle. The nice boi at.Verizon gave me a little stand for the videophone… So I will test today.

Still at 80lbs on my bench press. I have done 95 for 3 reps. Really had to push it. Going to try again this weekend for a full 5 reps.
Push is harder then Pull for me. My one arm rows are at 80lbs 3sets of 8

My squat form is getting better. Still doing bottom up squats and making progress. Got a spot tonight at the gym from some of the local regulars. Those boys are so nice where I go. Anyway I got 1 plate with a 5 count pause on bottom for 3 reps. My legs feel great.

Also making progress on leg press as well 250lbs now for 3 sets of 8 reps.

Keeping up with the cardo 3 times a week 30 min

Training to get to the top of Granit Peak this summer. This assent will be easier then my 2007 trip.

Oh I forgot to mention did my sumo DL the other day. New working weight…

275lbs 3sets 5reps

Vie was a success… but the fucking push wasn’t. Boo!,Lao displeased with angle will tweak.

So I’ve been dead for a week now… just now getting back to the gym. Watch out girlies…

Those are nice rows. My working weight is about 55 or 60 lbs for the same amount of reps.

Oh and nice dls I’m a long way from 300 myself.

Although MerrySailor said she got it last week(?) I would give the win to her if she can produce a vid, I know you’ve been sick so you might not be ready again. We could just save the victory for the 45s if you all want?

Here is 110 for form, it’s better here than in the 115 vid if anyone wants to offer criticism this is a better representative of my form except no leg drive today.:-/

Here is the 115, I would have been happy with the one but was not sure it touched so I did a second and that one touched but just barely. Yeah boobies!!!
