Question: Homemade Weight Gainer

Trying to add some calories by throwing together 2-3 homemade gainer shakes a day:

50 grams of whey
1 cup of whole oats
1 cup of blueberries
2 tbsp olive oil or flax oil
Some milk and a banana on training days

My question is. The whole oats are ground up pretty well, but are still, well, raw oats. Is that okay, or should I cook them for digestion purposes? I’ve also considered using oat flour instead. Also, would it be better to use some casein protein in place of half the whey, making it half and half? I eat about every three hours, and I’m not sure if the whey keeps up that long between meals.

Thanks as usual!

its fine to use them dry, add peanut butter for more calories. Throw in 4 tbs for almost 450kcal

I would not use whey for a meal replacement wieght gainer. whey is fastt digesting. The fats will slow it down but why use it.

Use Metabolic Drive complete. You get good slow digesting protein and carbs… You can then add your other ingredients.

I put my oats in a cofee grinder to get them to a powder.
