PWO Shake on Cardio Days?

I have three lifting days per week and three cardio days per week. My cardio consists of uphill walking on a treadmill. I do 30 minute intervals between 8 an 12 percent incline at a 3.5-4 miles per hour.

It’s not too taxing but I burn somewhere around 400 calories during one of these workouts.

My question is should I have a PWO shake on these days? On weight days I use Surge but I wonder if that’s the right choice after a cardio workout or if I should just do a standard MRP like Metabolic Drive Complete or even low carb Metabolic Drive.

Thoughts?

No need for a PWO shake like Surge for cardio. I have either a MD shake or whatever my normally scheduled meal is.

That’s what I was thinking. I’ve got a big frickin tub of Muscle Milk left over. Maybe I can use this as a way to get rid of it.

Not necessarily.

If you are upgrading to perhaps, high intensity cardio, perhaps some carbohydrates and protein post workout may be more applicable.

However as your cardio program is not too taxing, it is more likely that you will not need a post workout shake as such.
Good luck

If I do HIIT, then I’ll have a whey shake. I save my Surge for lifting only.

Nice avatar. I was at the bean taking cool photos just a couple of weeks ago.
