Hey I have a question regarding Post Workout Shakes. If you do a short workout, like one in Minimal Time, Maximum Workout (http://www.T-Nation.com/readTopic.do?id=1013133)
which might take 15 minutes… do you still need a PWO drink with so much sugar afterwards?? How about an even shorter workout like the 4 minute Tabata Method (All Articles - T NATION)??
What’s your input regarding how long you need to have been lifting to have a post workout shake to replenish the glycogen stores??

I would definitely hit a PWO after any workout. The shorter it is the more intense right?
But who does JUST a tabata style workout? It’s 4 minutes! If I do one it’s at the end of my workout, to make sure I have nothing left.
It’s not worth the trip to the gym if you go in, and walk out 4mins later. [/quote]
LOL thats funny. then you are not DOING tabata. If doing it right that foru minutes is all you will want/need/and be able to handle. You should be giving your all plus some for EVERY damn second that clock ticks and then fighting away the urge to Puke while cathcing you one or two breaths of wind during the rest periods that seem to get ever so short as the time goes on.
